Spanish Football 2011-2012

Great goal by Betis to go 1-0 up, although I think he handled it prior to shooting so dunno whether it should stand. Madrid have made conceding the first goal bad habit, although the pattern of these games is the opposition blow their load in the first 60mins and then are either already losing or end up losing. Makes for a fun game though!

You'd have to narrow that down, Pepe or Marcelo? Marcelo managed to do a late foul on someone what, 30seconds into this game maybe. Much like Pepe he just has this look on his face going into most tackles that kinda suggests

"lets see if you still have a career after this tackle".

Have to say I think Real would be frankly a crapload of points lower than they are now if their back four ever got a fair game where their elbows, stamps, woeful two footed challenges were punished correctly through a season. Every team has players that get away with murder on the pitch but those three get away with more than most others put together. If they played for anyone but the big two I doubt they'd get away with half of what they do.
 
Yup, Arbeloa has been mostly crap since he joined them. Can't remember which game it was recently Arbeloa actually had a great game offensively for a change but defensively always dodgy, criminal to just drop that down in the middle of the box like that.
 
Madrid have been pretty crap tonight, can't string a pass together. Think they were hoping for an easy game before the CL game in the week. Betis are working super hard as well (thus they'll tire and probably give the game away).
 
He's been terrible all game for both sides tbh, gave an obvious Madrid corner as a goal kick to Betis a few minutes ago. Actually, it's a different referee 2nd half, the first one's 4th official now because he's injured LOL.
