Spanish Football 2011-2012

So they are behind in the league, still on to win possibly 6 trophies this season? Yet people seem to think they are on the decline. Awesome.

problem is that barca have performed that well for the last couple of seasons that they can only really "decline".

on the plus side, pep knows hes not likely to be sacked any time soon, so he can afford to look at different tactics, and improve the squad depth.

Aside from yet another insulting post, its another post where you simply CAN'T READ.

Did I SAY Barca were in freefall, anywhere? No, I said the first thought when turning on and seeing 1-0 was that, did I say that in our "discussion" in the past week, no, did I say they WERE in freefall, no, do you have an inability to comprehend well, yes, can you do basic maths..... no.

Ive quoted your post where you said Barca in freefall you muppet, you stated this was your 'thought' .. so you did think it, you did admit it you cant change it all around now and back track. And what freefall has to do with maths, I just dont know. Maybe ask your Home Economics teacher when you go back to school.

World Club cup..... seriously? You have another epically ridiculous argument, because one group of people take a cup seriously, its a big win? So because Yeovil really really want to win the FA cup, Man Utd beating someone like I dunno, Cardiff, makes the win proof Utd are the bestest team ever?

What a stupid comparison, you are a idiot of the highest degree. South American teams take the competition seriously, as im sure Barca did to an extent... its not just a friendly as you put it, yes the Semis are gimmes, but the final is a decent game and as Barca showed they were the better team and won another trophy... its not like the Emirates Cup or something just as lame put on in pre-season.

Why you are bleating on about Yeovil, just hideous.

Here it is for you again, cups don't prove anything, especially cups that are pathetically easy, how seriously the other team takes it doesn't have any relevance at all. Winning one cup one year and not another isn't categorical proof a team is better.

You can only win whats put in front of you, why are these trophies there if there is no point? Im not saying this solely proves they are a better team but its facts that the team have already won 3 trophies and are competing for 3 more... name another club that have done that at the top level this year?

Barca's home form has been great all season, that didn't change tonight, their away form has been dodgey, maybe it will pick up markedly, it still won't change the fact they are having a worse season.

They are not having a worse season, you have some weird obsession with that.

You're like an Arsenal fan, 7-1 against Blackburn.... ohh, they're great again, 2 games later, Wenger fired. One win doesn't change the games that have gone before, were overall Barcelona have been worse.

Im not talking about Arsenal... its Barca, silly comparison.. Arsenal dont win things. You have a silly little boy vendetta against Barca just to try and be cool... its sad, they are the best team in the world and will probably prove that again this year in Europe if all things are equal.

Best thing is, accept you are wrong. Accept you are clueless and stop wasting my time and forum bandwidth with your replies. I just want to come in this thread and read about Spanish football... not your personal rants against the current Spanish, European and World Club Champions.

LOL DM chill :D

Another assist for Vela to get another win for his team. 2 goals 4 assists in his last 5, of the 3 starts, they've won three, two sub appearances he got one goal and the team lost both games not bad for a "crap" player who is finally getting real game time for a not very good team that before the 3 wins in 5 was deep in a relegation fight.

They're really missing Villa imo. Don't think he's actually been that good for them, compared to his form at Valencia, but he provides balance on the left that Sanchez, Pedro, Fabregas and Iniesta can't.

Sanchez and Pedro are both far better on the right, Fabregas is completely ineffective out wide and Barcelona rarely play Iniesta there because he's just too important to move around to accommodate other players in the centre.

Edit: 80% posession with only 10 men :o

What? Fabregas was playing as the main striker, and not making the best runs but generally speaking not getting many passes upfront either, Pedro was playing on the right and did the square root of **** all in that game. Fabregas is not at all ineffective out wide, and seeing as he didn't play there this game I'm not sure how you could suggest it. As for accomodating Cesc, Keita was pushed into central midfield when he's fully capable of playing wide also.

It was another odd Guardiola choice, Pedro, a striker on the right, Cesc a central midfielder upfront, a kid on the left and Keita in central midfield. Cesc/Iniesta either side of Xavi, pedro upfront and Keita on the wing would have made a heck of a lot better formation with just about everyone actually playing their favoured position.

Iniesta's best season probably came while playing wide left frequently and most of his work today was done around the left wing/left side of the box.

Pique lol, still can't defend for crap and while the actual foul was fairly soft looking he still took the player down and it was still a pretty good goal scoring chance and he was the last man back.

A better team would likely have had a good chance of punishing both Pique and Guardiola's once again experimental and rather odd formation. Gijon however are utterly terrible this season.
