Spanish Grand Prix 2011, Circuit de Catalunya- Race 5/19

Anyone else notice that the BBC's live text is ahead of itself:

"1535: It was another memorable weekend for Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel, the reigning world champion extending his lead atop the drivers' standings to 34 points. Next stop, the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona from 20-22 May. We'll see you then."

Oh come of it FIA. What a farce.

"Oh i know, lets ruin the Monaco grand prix, the best in the calender, by giving 3 of the front runners penalties"

What a surprise that Vettel isnt in there :o

How is it a surprise? Vettel was ahead of the incident so couldn't speed as the yellow flags weren't out at that time. Easy.

The pit teams should have been telling their drivers about the yellows.

surly its for the following laps? hamilton was withing a second or two for nearly all the race so as vettel saw it go off hamilton would be right behind.

i think it would be for the next lap when hamilton went purple in the middle sector and webber also went green.

but they could just say they were quick in the rest of the sector and eased for that corner. they will look at the black box i assume.

Although I still think it is stupid. I hate these sort of penalties. I want the results decided on the track.

Best in the calender? Not by a long way.
It's one of the tracks I would drop from the calender without much hesitation.

lol @ Merlin!

I had to laugh at Jenson during the pre-race part where he was talking to Jake, saying 'It would be ok, but he keeps putting that finger up, and it's not even straight!' :D

As for Monaco, I'm really not a fan of that place. Boring race, super boring infact. Even so, I'd rather the FIA not **** about with the Results today

Why the BBC changed the format of the forum I don't know, this wander round the paddock with Brundle stuck in a truck somewhere is no where near as good.

Bring back the chats round a tele in the motorhomes!

Brundle doesn't even have controll of the video. First time i saw what was happening in teh 1st race, i though brundle was going to be able to play a video, slow it right down at specific points get the yellow highlighter pen out and circle specific points or draw lines where the cars will go etc, like they do in football, but it is literally just him sitting in front of a tv lmao.
