Spanish Grand Prix 2012, Catalunya - Race 5/20

So, was it a late night fight in which tempers flared and silly things were said, then smoothed over in the clear light of day or just an internet rumour?

Twitter account from a guy working at mclaren saying he'd quit/sacked and was on his way home (twitter won't load for me atm so cant 100% check his entire history)

So either the twitter account was hacked/dodgey or Whitmarsh was lieing, wonder which in F1 ;)

A couple of my friends and my cousin 'tweet' via their Facebook status, and it's so dramatic (McLaren fans), Jesus, and end in some stupid thing I keep seeing, Every week, '#believeinmclaren'. I mean wtf is that lol. God I hate twitter. No offence to all you other twitter users!

I agree, I hate twitter, it's for celebrity followers IMO, not keen on fb, but least it's bit more relevant to my life lol

I just wish I had sky, first year in a while my team has been doing well. :/

Still think Maldonado is going to bin it or crash into someone at turn 1!

Can't see him winning even if he doesn't, top 3 will be a great result for him.

Funny time for Sky to go to an Ad break, just the perfect time for me to switch to the BBC and watch the rest of it (bar Brundles grid walk) on there :p

Bah football match to go to, nephews final. Going to take my ipad to watch the race on iplayer. Hopefully it won't eat too far into my data plan, can't be more than a gig can it?

Expensive birthday present McLaren gave to Frank.

Hehee.

I never saw it that way, but it worked out well for Williams.
I think this is the first time in a VERY long time that Williams have had a car which was genuinely fast (Williams/Maldo have been fast throughout the weekend...yesterday was not a flash in the pan).

Maldo's big problem is that he has got Alonso next to him, with Kimi in the 2nd row. As we saw 2 races ago when Alonso won, Perez had a faster car, but his lack of experience caused him to go off the track, allowing Alonso to win. Experience counts and this is something that Maldo does not have.

Given it a bit of thought, what can McLaren do to become more professional. Decided that the best thing to start with is bring back Ron.

Especially as Thwax Mosley is now out of the FIA.

Errrr.... Likely to be yes.

Get a 3 sim for the future. Unlimited data... and they mean unlimited. I used 17gb last month. :D

Well I just flicked over to see DC, Eddie and Jake about to go for a run :-/ lol. So now I don't know who to watch, dullness (sky) vs inanity (bbc). I do like the banter though :-)

Ello everyone, what did I miss re:McLaren?

Hamilton stopped on in lap
1.3 litres of fuel removed from the car.
Didn't have enough fuel to make it back to the pits and give the 1 litre fuel sample.
Technical imfregement - disqualified from the session - goes to the back of the grid.

*rumour mill*

Massive argument at McLaren between management and crew last night, resulted in 4 people 'leaving/resigning'

Fank koo :)

McLaren spat makes me happy inside - its embarrasing how poorly they deal with a race weekend especially race day - might be just the thing for them to highlight what they need to fix and who actually deserves a job there...

ps3ud0

Just their usual team balls up, they got it out the way on Saturday this weekend rather than Sunday :p

The mechanic putting the fuel in apparently had it set to drain fuel by mistake for a bit which meant he didn't get enough put in before Hamilton went out for his final flying lap meaning he had to pull over before he could get back.

Seems the team knew he was short but hoped they'd get away with it which was somewhat optimistic considering it was them doing the same thing in Canada 2010 which brought the rule in to start with!
