Spanish Grand Prix 2012, Catalunya - Race 5/20

Mclaren is fast becoming a liability for its drivers. So far the team has cost the driver points more than the drivers loose them. What are they waiting for red bull to nail their car and ferrari to give alonso something a tad better?:(

Expensive birthday present McLaren gave to Frank.

Kimi for the win!

And yes LH penalty was too harsh, should have been dropped to 10th palce.

DC saying on Twitter that as well as the rain, it's 10°C cooler today than yesterday.

We've seen how much difference track temperature makes to the tyres so this could throw another variable into the mix.

We know Mercedes prefer cooler temps so could Rosberg and MSc make up for a poor showing yesterday?

One of mistake you say?, I see a whole catalogue of errors in this season alone.

One of mistake?
I'll presume you mean one off mistake.
Please show me where I said "one of mistake".

It's irrelevant whether it is a one off or not as it's hardly the same person doing it every week.
Mistakes happen all the time, some large some minor.
Not all are seen by us, but all teams make them.

Should you be disciplined/sacked for putting 'of' instead of 'off' or should people be allowed to learn from their mistakes?

Hmm, weather channel predicting 10% chance of rain between 1 and 2.. not going to get overly excited about it. Having a small dabble on Maldonado, great race pace but horrible luck so far, it'll change big style today

well its strange how in nearly every post you always want to stress how LH is hard done by, yet you are a JB fan - yeah right.

Funny how over the years I've been labelled a lewis hamilton hater and when I suggest this season he is losing out to his team mate a rabid blinkered fan boy spits the dummy from the other side.

It's a fact that Mclaren have cost Lewis more than they have Jenson this year. I don't know why you cannot just accept that instead of talking about how many points they cost Jenson last year, something which YOU always bring up.

It wasnt McLaren's choice to start him from the back of the grid today - whether it was a tactical choice, or a fueler mistake, (and whether Lewis knew about it or not) it cant exactly be certain that Lewis would have had a great race in the first place

Again you're a hypocrite, it never stopped you banging on about points lost for Jenson when we cannot be exactly certain he would have had a great race or even finished races. No your blinkered one sided ways never allow for that in your regular posts on how many points Jenson may have lost through no fault of his own.

Yet you dont ever stress how its just unfair - its always in relation to JB.

Yes I do it's just the ones in comparison to Lewis that rattle you cage and stick in your mind, which is not my fault if you turn into a rabid dog because someone may have the opinion that Mclaren this season have cost Lewis too many points.

Maybe you should try and post something less biased, and then I wouldnt have to pont out the obvious errors you are making (in nearly every post).

Coming from you the irony is hilarious, there's few on here that would ever accuse me of being a Lewis Hamilton fan. I support Jenson but not to the point unlike you that I cannot see the obvious, that Jensons saturday performance costs him too much and Lewis THIS season has had mclaren screw him more often than his team mate.

yet you are a JB fan - yeah right.

Funnily enough prior to his title I only remember a couple of us banging the drum for Jenson under fierce criticism he was a wash up, I'm damn sure Sunama can tell you I was one of them. I just don't think he's practically perfect in every way like you do.

One little comment that Mclaren has cost Lewis this year more than Jenson and you explode, lets hope Lewis doesn't outscore him or you hang yourself :(

I can't believe how many babies there are on here who spit their dummies out with a knee-jerk reaction.
One of the pit crew make a mistake and people are crying for Whitmarsh to be sacked and Lewis to change teams. Absolutely pathetic.

Agree

People too used to supporting a team at the front. My gf does it too lol. I guess when you expect wins times like these must be a real disappointment

A couple of my friends and my cousin 'tweet' via their Facebook status, and it's so dramatic (McLaren fans), Jesus, and end in some stupid thing I keep seeing, Every week, '#believeinmclaren'. I mean wtf is that lol. God I hate twitter. No offence to all you other twitter users!

Aside from this being a bit of an OTT response... It's not irrelevant because even if it's a different person fudging up each week, ultimately the responsibility will fall on the head of an organisation/company/team, whether or not they themselves have fudged up.

dont think this is a track merc can do well at no matter what happens tbh

As a McLaren fan, something needs to be done.

Time and again I see LH or JB stripped of much needed points due to faults that they didn't make.

Get Ron Dennis back tbh :p

rofl, see above and what Whitmarsh just said(no ones left) + the ear scratch.

So, was it a late night fight in which tempers flared and silly things were said, then smoothed over in the clear light of day or just an internet rumour?
