Spanish Grand Prix 2012, Catalunya - Race 5/20

McLaren spat makes me happy inside - its embarrasing how poorly they deal with a race weekend especially race day

This is true.
Also, consider that the whole job of Management is to keep things running smoothly and when things don't go your way, you limit (prevent) any damage. When people are resigning in a huff...that's bad management, plain and simple.

Management should've risen above the argument, calmed the situation/employees down and dealt with the matter in the coming week (away from the race weekend). One thing you should never do is sack (or allow people to resign), during a major event.

Whitmarsh has gone down in my estimation (if the rumours are true).

If you compare this with Horner and he how he dealt with the situation in 2010, between Webber and Vettel - the team was kept in tact. Webber was managed. And in 2011, RBR completely dominated. THAT is management. What I like about Horner is that no matter what his team do (even when they are being bad), he backs them up, 100% and doesn't make rash decisions.

If a manager cannot calm a situation down and keep things running smoothly, there is no point in him being there. He may as well resign as he isn't doing his job.

Ah good, onto the FOM feed. Now I can stop being confused when some of you lot post about something that's on the Sky show. :p

I think grid girls should get uglier and fatter as you go to the back. Extra encouragement!
I wonder if the guy who gives out watches also chooses the grid girls - that would be my perfect job - Id even make no mistakes on giving the right cap to the right driver...

ps3ud0

T spat (if the rumors are true) is a good thing. With out a shake up these things are going to keep happening. They need a majour shake up.

Kimi sounding as excited as usual, ...

How did this guy get into F1?
Part of being in F1 is about being fast (of course), but also about selling yourself and your team to potential sponsors. I've never seen a human being with so little charm or sales ability.

Anyway gents, 5 minutes to go.

Its a hot day, but track temp is cooler. So the cars which were fast yesterday, might not be as quick today.

I actually fancy Mercedes to be quick today.

This is true, but these decisions should not be made/taken during an event (race weekend).

Sometimes it just needs to be done. This season do far I hope a grenade did go off yesterday. But somehow I feel it's just rumors. Just a mistake it happens to everyone burry heads in sand, rinse and repeat at almost every weekend.
If they had decent management it wouldn't be needed.
