Would still love to know about Vernes tyre.

I have to admit I stopped watching F1 after the rights to view it Live from the BBC were taken away and Martin Brundle and Eddie Jordan were going to be axed. It's not the same watching re-runs, since I've been watching it live for years.

great drive from maldonado, its really nice to see williams back on the podium.
great drive from lewis, he's really doing good to keep his cool, definitely matured a lot, i think last year was definitely a wake up call for him, just a shame about the teams constant mistakes.

I'll give you Alonso, but I disagree with Vettel.
Fair enough, him leading the championship at the moment with the class leading Red Bull does make the reasoning difficult, after all he cant overtake when hes at the front all the time ;)

I think the only general concensus is while McLaren exist they will try their upmost to show how amateur they are as an outfit outside of their engineering division and will attempt time and again to thwart their drivers where possible...

Taken away?...Was it not BBC who couldn't afford it or didn't want to afford it??

Sky Sports f1 channel is far better. Better presenting, better analysis and basically better all round!! Damon Hills a bit dodgy at times but presenting isn't his forte.

Your view seems different about the Sky coverage than others.

But, I haven't watched it and never intend to either so I can only go on what you lot say :p

As for the tyre, I'd like to know too! Might tweet that pic and see if the BBC picks up on it.

On what grounds?

I still feel that Vettel needs a perfect car to perform, similar to Button. Where as Alonso, Hamilton and Kimi have all done great in cars which are lower in the field or much closer together. This could change this year of course if Vettel continues to perform well on a level playing field with the others

I think they are really close.

It's impossible to tell without them driving the same equipment, but for me last season Vettel did a great job with him and the team being consistent and leading from the front in the best car.

Last year Hamilton imploded, entirely his own fault and I won't make excuses for that.

This season, Hamilton is clearly in a better head space and the McLaren car is one of, if not the fastest on the grid.

However, he's being let down by his team. If it hadn't been for that, Hamilton would be 'doing a Vettel' and running away with this season.
