Wait, there's a test after the GP? When?

The straight, while not exactly Tilke, is still enormous. The problem is before the straight you've got 3 long corners and a chicane whose entrance is off camber and it's hard to make a mistake exiting it. Added to that there's no braking zone into the first corner - it's a narrow 3rd gear sweeper.

You're right that it's seldom interesting though. Had some dramatic races, but never been due to the track.
 
I love this track. Now we will find out who's who, Merc has brought so many upgrades it's just silly.
I'm hoping for another Lewis win or top 3.
 
Watching FP1 on the TV for a change

So far:
* Vettle has stopped on track 15 min into FP1 :D
* Ferrari have brought some spaceage pit stop contraption but no sign of major car updates
* Merc appear to have brought a entire new car going by the number of updates

What a shame Vettel broke down again :D

Are McLaren REALLY at the top - or is that just misleading (even ignoring Merc's "new car" lol, surely it has to be a bit of luck with a bit of sandbagging of other teams?)

At what point does it cease to be updates and become an entire new car :p

Short of a problem with the car or an accident I can't see LH finishing outside the top 2 but I am hoping for another win. Would be good to have LH top of the WDC :)
 
Mclaren looking better. The gap to Lewis 0.7 and ahead of everyone else in for so far. Looks a lot better than China anyway I'll happily take that. :)

Lewis went back out and went top by 8ths but even he was sandbagging.

I think Lewis is 1.2-1.5 seconds in front of the rest here.
