0.1 seconds difference between two compounds of tyres, good job Pirelli

Another question - how did Mercedes manage to get the super softs working?
There was an attempt from Hamilton in Q2 with them and he failed. What happened then?

Cheers.Softs for Ferrari, super softs for Mercedes, with timings being in 0.1 of a second.
But both will start the race on softs, where Ferrari is expected to be faster, even though the circuit is claimed to be a Mercedes-circuit.
So just out of interest why didn't Ferrari use US to set fastest lap? Ran out of new sets?Lewis was on Supersofts, Ferraris on Softs. But it's the tyres from Q2 they start on.
This is Mercedes to lose tomorrow. On top all weekend so far.

Was probably just a trial run with an aborted lap. If he'd gone faster he would have to start on them and they wouldn't last as long as the softs. Not an easy track to overtake on usually so stopping early could be bad.

That Pirelli said they were going to do anyway due to the new surfaces. Non story. Probably balances out with Ferrari’s illegal car.
not illegal for this race but ok...
Well neither are the tyres, so move on.
The whole track. You do follow F1?
where did i say they were illegal?
At least you aren't moaning about the engines for a change.
Mercedes out qualify Ferrari and suddenly there is foul play. Even though it is the Ferrari that have been made to change their car for the next race. Salty much.
