US: Spartacus - War Of The Damned

Absolutely awesome episode sad ending but of course we all knew it was coming.

Going to be a big gap when this show finishes i am going to miss it, i hope they do the Julius Caesar spin off show that has been talked about.

I thought the same thing about Caeser - would definitely watch a series spin off following his rise to power!

But yea what an episode - Caesers punishment was harsh to say the least - the scene later on when he was walking instead of being on a horse was just :D :o

It's still such a shame that Andy Whitfield didn't get to make series 2 and 3. Shocking loss. The series would have been even more amazing with him.

The new spartacus is just not as good/the same. :( He doesn't have the same screen presence or charisma or sheer muscle.

Can the new spartacus match this for instance? - possibly the most stunning fight sequence ever and just look at the intensity on Whitfield's face near the end:

I really hope Caesar kills that little git. Can't believe such an amazing series is coming to an end.

I just hope they do something else, they know how to produce epic tv, lets hope they go with Caesar, or maybe do Hannibal :D

ANDY WHITFIELD was more menacing, he really played the part and if it was real, he came across as far more skilled. Who'd thought that Andy in that video was going to die from cancer not long after in real life. No wonder they call Cancer the silent killer.

Shame, such a great loss to the acting world :(

Spartacus' fate is not a 'forgone conclusion'.

The body was never found and nobody actually knows whether he died or not in the final battle.

The series could go in any direction.

Watch the start of the ROME series and pretend it directly carries on from spartacus ;)

already have and sort of do. Partly why I think they might struggle finding enough space between the 2 series to cover a Caesar series, though they could do it more on his military campaigns and thus his rise in popularity

Mind you, Rome only covered the very end of his life, his military life was largely glossed over.

And we know the ending to that story too!

Hell no, Whitfield cannot be replaced - there is no doubt about it. Without him there would be no series.

But the new chap has settled well into the role and made it his own, even. First Season with him in it was doubtful, but he has lived up to the role imo.

Awesome again. Absolutely stunning episode!! I can see me shedding a few manly tears next week.

Imo this program deserves so many accolades, best thing on tv. Shame it has to end but it will end on a high!!

Agreed, fantastic episode, and the 1st in a while that made me lose a fair bit of my dislike for Naevia. :p

Going to be so gutting when this ends as there's really nothing to replace it within the same theme.

manly tears indeed :D
