The sub (if active) and AVR are actually the parts of the chain I'd lean toward buying new.

I think people generally pair the Q-Acoustics you're looking at with the BK Gemini but I've heard mixed things about it, probably due to it being more on the compact side which you might not necessarily want to opt for unless tight on space.

The Denon X2700H I have currently is only a couple of years old and works well with the media setup I have

The sub is active and 100w, probably not that great but at least will tide me over until I find a new one

I’ll use that thread recommended to look for one

Think it's mr wolfs thread with a spreadsheet. Helped me with a guide, and it seemed accurate- I had a sub in the list and the two matched up that I was on the limits of that single sub in the room.

Made a slight upgrade, from a single sub to three
These seem interesting

Personally I'd avoid really cheap floorstanders. I've gone that route myself, the cost cutting results in lower quality speaker overall.

I own quite a few loudspeakers, two way bookshelf sized to big 5 driver floorstanders.

Thanks, will see if I can find it

I get it with the cheaper options, I bought the Canton as they were a cheap offer / recommendation at the time but never really done anything special
Think after some reading I’ll stick with the ones on the av forum

You could use those cantons for atmos heights. Small and light enough, and you've already got them.

I have a 9.3.4 av pre power system, with 3010i used as atmos heights ( x 4)
