Spec me a Coupe!

I'll reccomend a Toyota mk1 MR2,

Similar speed to the mk2 NA but with better handling, 7.7s 0-60 and 120 ish top end

£1500 will get you a very clean one, and apart from rust which won't be a problem really with a £1500 one then they are very reliable.

You also get pop-up headlights :p

Dear lord, look at the IG on that Fiat! :(
Yer, its a killer. But on the plus side, it stops any kiddies driving them, so you dont get many all chaved up. Good for the reputation. ;)

Fortunately, at 27 with full NCB, I only pay £400 insurance. :D

You get pop ups on the mk2, but thats hardly a good thing.

The Mk1 seriously, seriously mings :(

Hyundai Coupe (2.0 SE or F2) - 8.1 or 8.3

Same performance by all accounts.

Looks wise, both are like marmite it seems, i really like the coupe, but dislike the fiat, while others are the other way round, or theres steve who dislikes eveything :P

I thought we were talking about to 20v turbo, I suppose insurance would be a bit of a problem there.

Ill admit, standard alloys arn't that nice, get some new ones on it and it looks really good.

Not the best alloys on that one but you get the idea. Mk3 MR2 alloys are nice on them and also are cheap to get hold of.

The MK1 look a little bit dated at first site but that can be changed easily and it will grow on you :D

The MK1 also handels better and is lighter :D

Mk1 stock wheels mings though

I'm not accually sure there Zip.

Dated does not automatically mean it looks bad remember. :) Just to let you know though one of my favourate cars for looks is the Audi Quattro S1.

Mmmmm lovely.

The proton coupe is hard to beat. You don't see many of them around, they are fantastic value for money and they are not french. They have a 1.8i 16v engine so may be a little high on the insurance.

The Proton Coupe can be beaten by anything, including President Bush on a Segway. It is one of the few properly dire cars in every single way. You don't see many round for the simple reason that they are SO bad even the clueless numpties who make the Corsa popular won't buy one.

I know :)
They look a little different but u "can" make them look the same if you want :D
It just takes a bit of work.
The Mk1a models are the lightest model ive found out :)

Not to worry too much though there are a couple of places we can suggest for good Coupe insurance.
