Choosing components the way you have is like buying a Porsche Cayenne rather than a Range Rover because Porsche have a bit on their website that says how much they like trees (I don't know if they do!). If you really cared you'd have a VW Polo Bluemotion, or to extend the analogy back to computer games, an Xbox.

How can you go off roding in Polo bluemotion?

But you can put better components on range rover that will make it more 'eco' than others giving better millage and gas emissions. Also use components from makers that have better environmental policies.

This is the noble and great thing that am doing. Simply because I am so good.

Bleep bloop I am a robot. I take everything literally which makes it impossible to understand the phrases that you complex organic life forms use.

You always new there was something not right with you Zefan. Like that robot in Alien and Prometheus movies goes rogue after a while.

Getting back to thread topic I will probalby gettng this nice Blue rey burner for xmass. Has good reviews.

Pioneer BDR-207DBK 12x Internal BD-RW Burner - Bare Black

After much researching I have finally decided to get this sweet little drive: WD 2TB Green Desktop Drive. Packed with good technologies that make it worth while and make it greener than other drives of similar specs. Latest update on this build ladies and gents. Thanks for support and encouragement to make my 'green dragon' more green than others.

It just feels good to be better than many!

I've had 2 of the WD 2TB Green drives die on me in the last 2 years and I've had to RMA them.

But congratulations on being 'green', well done.

In majority cases i've read that this drive has lasted over 5 years. Fortunately for the extended 2 year warranty.

Thanks for approving my 'green' steps. This is the aim of this build and I am coherently following this goal.

A sense of pride and achievement is what am feeling now.

I am now the proud owner of my first WD green drive. It is good and 'green'. And quite a few people have failed to work out how to install it when fdisk is not working (format command not available for new drive in win 7). Thanks for your help lads anyway.

However, I am man of amazing skills and determination who have managed to install it. Yes I am simply superior to many. A fact that those that have failed and lost find hard to accept.

Just another 'green' step in my cool green kick ass build! Blesses

btw. which freeware program can be used to test HDD speed? ta

Got to prise that Western Digital Caviar Green 2TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (WD20EARX) is working fast and cool. Temps dont go over 30C!

Only thing is, after formating space is touch over 1800GB's...

Thank you to those that recognize my brilliance and great eco skills. Only few here are able to achieve what I have. It takes an amazing sort of person and super skills, both of which I have abundance of.

So if any hot and good girls (of age) like to ask me for my number you are welcome to.

Latest development kind folks is that one of 200mm fans has broke and will get an replacement. However, big question is should I get a nice
BitFenix Spectre PRO 200mm White LED - Black (900rpm)
or more eco
BitFenix Spectre 200mm Fan - Black (700rpm)

This is what am deciding on this week.

I think you're all being rather harsh.

BitFenix Spectre PRO 200mm White LED - Black (900rpm) ~0.33A

BitFenix Spectre 200mm Fan - Black (700rpm) ) ~0.28A

0.05A difference x 12V x 24 hours x 365 days = 5,256W.

That's around 75p less electricity cost over a year if run 24/7.

Thanks for that Surveyor but also it will be a bit quieter, what am looking for. At moment things are ok until playing gfx demanding game. Then the 7850 sounds like jet taking off.

Anyone know if Coolermaster Megaflow 200mm will fit on side of haf x case?

For all people that say WD green drive only saves few Wats per year over other drives. Well this all adds up and reading from WD website:

" With over 100 million WD Green drives sold* customers using WD Green drives have saved the planet over 466 million kwh of power – nearly equaling the annual power production of a single coal power plant!"

http://wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=830

It makes a difference! I am part of it and proud.

Well why cant you get 4 pin so you can control speed... get 3000rpm fan and run at 100rpm??

So when you feel a little bit naughty you can put it up to 3000rpm and enjoy how bad-ass you are.

You can use this to pull a girl, just mention at the night club that you increased fan speed to 3000rpm and they will think you are more bad-ass than statham.

Thats a good idea. Do you have a link to a 4 pin fan that do as you said?

Somehow finding a hot girl who could be pulled by my fan speed is slim. However when they find out that I can keep up my system for hours, hard working ... which I can.

Ladies this is what I can do, keep it up for hours (more than 2). I am that powerful.

Yes. Surely a testament to the staying power of the almighty Arek.

You hear that ladies?

Thank you Petey for bringing that important point up. It is true I can go on for much longer than many here. Just like my system is greener than many.

I am better than many men in many crucial ways. Such as staying power... going on longer than your average 30 minutes.

BTW has anyone got virtu to work? Does virtu work with onboard cpu graphics or motherboard graphics?
