You're choosing to blow warm air into a modem? That isn't ingenious
Let me tell you a fact. Air coming out on top is quite cool. And modem is hot. I have tested this with sensitivity of my palm. I am quite clever.

Sound quality? No probably not. Any benefit at all through speakers? Probably not. Quality at loud volumes and increased volume through headphones? Yes.
All you will gain is better clarity at higher volumes and also an increased volume when using headphones due to the amp.
An expensive card with some good speakers? Yes. The DG 5.1 is only really good for the headphone amp though. I have one and it's great, but it doesn't do much through my speakers.
Aren't you interested in the monitor with the Nvidia 3D Vision 2.0 Kit and free Borderlands 2 game at £367.99?
You clearly dont understand the fact that "green" is pretty much a waste..... If you really want, you can ask ocUK to stick a white label and write in pen on it "Green" I am sure they would love to help such a cause...
It would use less energy for longer because it would be slower, right?
That what I though if to get 5900rpm drive.
I think am right on this one.
Your question didn't make sense.
Wow, this thread is still alive. Did you buy the parts finaly? (Cant be bothered to read all 10 pages...)
Do you have any pics of the build?
Ok yeah i can see signature.
:-S there was me thinking he wanted a color scheme that was green......what a waste of effort just turn off the lights and game in the dark, the fact that most IT equipment gets shipped half way round the world kind of makes it a mute point and ofc building it yourself requires additional shipping which wont help so you should really have bought a prebuilt as the shipping from OCuk to you for all the bits will account for more CO2 than anything you could hope to save from an energy efficient drive. ****ing hippies!!!
haha what a load of crap.
You keep telling yourself you are right, you may even begin to believe it.
