Spec me a torch

And does that come with a charger? because thast some wierd battery it uses

The CR123A batteries are the same type used in a lot of digital cameras and are 3 volt as opposed to AAs which are 1.5 volt. They cost more and are a little harder to find than AA batteries but offer more power. The cheapest I have seen them is on ebay in packs of 10-100. We are in negotiations with a supplier at the moment and should have them on our site in a couple of weeks.

Ive got some rechargeable Energizer 2500mAh 1.2v NiMH AA batteries, will these be ok to use in the L2T V2.0 as it says 1.5v AA batteries in the description.

"How bright is 200 lumens?:o

And when it says strobe after that does it mean it will contantly flash?:("

It's very bright  and will make you want to wander around in the dark seeing what distance you can light things up from.

The strobe setting is meant to disorientate an attacker - 200 lumens flashing quickly in your eyes is not nice (I have tried it). You can also set it to constantly on at 200 lumens by clicking the tail switch.

The sos mode on the other hand contantly repeats the morse code signal which is a nice safety feature.

L2T just been put on my birthday pressy list, so should have one in a couple of weeks.

Does the L2D have a momentary tactical button? I may be running in the Amazon next year so may opt for the L2D for it's SOS ability, descisions, descisions..... somebody decide for me :)

Just to let you know FenixTorch - I have placed an order for 1x P3D Rebel and a Lantern Diffuser. I will drop you an email now to see about the free red filter.

Cheers,

Craig

What made you change your mind Craig from the L2D rebel? (If you dont mind me asking?)

I have 9 Surefire CR123a battery's to go through and we have just got a massive desktop battery charger at work, and I can get CR123A (rechargable) cells for 99p from work.

Only found this out today as our new remote control for one of our products uses CR123A cells, if it was not for this I would get a L2D Rebel as it would work out cheaper in the long run!

I've got a Fenix P1D-CE cost me about $50.00 - excellent small torch.

Dammit, why do these threads always crop up weeks from payday?

I'll be getting a P3D at the end of the month - by then my 12 mile cycle commute home will be practically all in the dark; I don't think the cheaopo Halfords thing I've currently got strapped to my handlebars will cut it anymore...

The L2D doesn't have a momentary button although they will fit. The problem is that it will switch between modes when fitted to an L2D where as on an L2T there are no modes, just high and low selected by turning the head.

If I was heading into the Amazon I would take the L2D with me.
