Spec me a torch

I recently bought a L1D CE and it's been great. Battery has lasted ages, got lots of use at a festival over a long weekend and still going strong, on 1 aa battery!

Plus it's soo bright, and the distance the beam goes is unreal. Makes my other halfs D cell maglite look very pathetic.

I cant believe how bright an LED can be, the Fenix L2T is amazing, I cant imagine anything brighter than this.

Thanks FenixTorch, good service from your site.

Just got my P3D from the postie now, two things I have noticed compared to the L2D CE:

Tail-clicky feels a lot better than on the L2D CE, it feels nice and solid now.
Quite a bit lighter than the L2D CE (maybe my imagination...) this might be down to the fact it uses Lithium battery's which are lighter than AA's.

Just waiting for it to get dark now, ill post up some comparison shots later.

Edit: My retina has been burned out from staring at it in Turbo mode. Note to self: never do that again.

Mine's arrived :) (P3D Premium)

It's light, it's small, it's got a cool switch on the bottom, and I need to get some batteries for it before I try it out tonight :) Pics to follow.

I got my L2T today, put some batteries in it and WOW!!!

Note: putting it on High mode and then shining it in your eyes from an arms length away is a really bad idea :p

I might have to get one on pay day. Can you get desktop chargers for any of the fenix torches?

They take regular AA or CR123 batteries. You would need to buy rechargeable batterioes of these types and a suitable charger.

I have just taken loads of comparison shots and while importing them Lightroom crashed and corrupted the memory card :( Cant be bothered to go back into the garage and take them all again! I have some size-comparison shots though:

The P3D's beam is loads warmer than the L2D, not too sure which I prefer...

Could be the difference between new (or fresh charged) batteries and used batteries or the LED might need a little burn in time.

Lovely pics Cr4ig but you need something else in the first pic so we can get a real life scale idea of them. Say a mobile phone or an iPod or a pen or something.

My retina says yes :)

Edit: A shot I managed to salvage from the SD Card, the P3D on High mode with the Diffuser attached@
