If you mean AMAZON then say AMAZON
*sigh*

Well sadly some Mods can be a bit twitchy and there are some grey areas where people arent sure and err on the side of caution otherwise they might end up with a suspension.

My last offence was I missed fully starring out a swearword (left first letter showing) as it was in a quote by somebody else. Still got me a 5 day suspension due to my past record.

I've been reminding people of the Amazon rule for at least ten years. Can you understand why it gets tiring?

It's done now and hopefully more people will actually remember it.

Fair enough to a degree except 10 years you definitely did get a holiday for saying Amazon even if it was for something ocuk didnt sell.

After years of it been drummed into long time members about not mentioning competitors EVER, it takes a while to get over it.

Plus you keep expanding your range so somebody might fall foul of mentioning it relating to something OCUK does now sell so always safer to say rainforest. Everybody knows who you mean anyway.

Is it ok if I use the 'L' word in this thread? Lantern?

I've got a few torches from the likes of Olight, Fenix and Nitecore but what I could do with is a lantern type providing excellent battery life and good 360deg light.

Does anyone have recommendations please?

Some years ago when I was into collecting torches I bought an Olight SR92 triple LED searchlight. Not used it very much and it ended up being a stand for my headphones

Went to actually use it and found the battery dead and a replacement battery pack going to cost £99.

So I've put it up for sale and used the recent ebay 20% off voucher on an Olight R50 limited edition copper instead. I'll use this a great deal more than the large SR92.

Will post up some pics when it arrives. Anyone else got an R50?
