Anyone after a decent discount on some cells 18650 / 26650 then aliexpress have a $6 off coupon for new accounts (just make a new one if you already have one) - NEW0328

Finding actual decent 18650s at a reasonable price is a nightmare - some of these sellers as well seem to have highly mixed batches with some lots being the real deal and others low quality :s managed to get a load of genuine A grade Panasonics the other day but seen a lot more that have like 1/3rd the rated capacity and probably reclaimed and repackaged jobs :s

Thank you:

Am I correct in thinking that I would be able to charge the OTR U18 torch (battery inside) with USB Type C with my LG phone charger:

Numbers on the charger (all Dutch to me I'm afraid): Input 100-240v 50/60 Hz. Output: 9.0v....1.8A or 5.0v.....1.8A

Thanks

In addition to the Sofirn which I bought last week I've just ordered the OTR U16 set and a couple of Soshine batteries. It should fit in the wife's handbag!

I have a Since Model Charger: Se-H001 I bought some years ago and two UltraFire ICR123A 800mAh 3.0v batteries. I used these to power 2 Police type torches with a bulb similar to a matchstick end (but a bit thicker). That only lasted about 20 minutes and blew the bulbs, or the bulbs failed.

Charger states: LIR123a 3.6V. Input: 110-240V / 50-60 hZ Output: 2 x 3.7 300mA. 60mA at 15 hrs (standard charge). 300mA at 2.4 hrs (Quick Charge).

Does anyone think the charger and batteries would work with the OTR U16? If the charger would be compatible would it be more efficient than my LG Phone charger plugged directly to the torch?

Thanks

Edit: Although the charger appears to give two options there is no noticeable switch on the charger. Just a cheap bit of kit from fleabay.

You'd be better off buying that charger i listed above for £12, usually charging direct from a charger is quicker than from a cable to the torch.
