Spec me an LED Torch

For night photography, want something I can see plenty with but not bugger up my vision.
I get the whole red light night vision idea, but that's usually fairly dim lighting and just for up-close work.
1200 lumens of light will still mess with your night vision, regardless of colour.

What torch would you guys recommend ?
Just want a little torch so I can see my doors keyhole at night
but i want a push button, not twisty on/off
Thanks
Probably start by looking at the Nitecore T series.
If you don't mind waiting a little, they can usually be found quite cheap on Ali Express, rather than paying the extortionate UK prices.

RovyVon are quite good, but bloody expensive. Nitecore even ripped their stuff off with their Tiki, from the same factory but at half the price!
I personally prefer a Fenix E12, but that's perhaps a little bigger than you might want.

I have a selection of torches but the only ones which get used every day (at this time of year) are my Nitecore Tip1 and Tip2. Prices are steeper than you'd hope for a tiny torch, but they last longer than I expected on a charge, live on my front and back door keyrings, and are plenty bright enough for anything close at hand. I'd get another Tip if one died... but not a Tup, too big for a keyring and if it's not on my keyring I might forget it.

I bought the TUP to leave in my car. Seems to hold its charge for a fair while too.

I do agree though, it’s far too large for a key ring. It’s still a very small torch for a max of 1000lm :P

i just saw a Nitecore TIP2 on a website

its a bit expensive, but it could be worth it, want it to go on my keychain and use when im going to my front door

like the idea of a magnet on the bottom, could be handy when i need to look under the bonnet of the car etc

Realised that I could do with getting my dad an extra little something for Christmas.

Any torches that you would recommend on Amazon Prime for next day delivery or is it a waste of money? Budget of say £25.

I won’t touch Banggood with a barge pole now.

Twice I have been stung with products not being delivered and their customer service has been nothing short of atrocious. Fobbed off for months and in the end they just stopped responding.

The first time I lost about £40. Because I didn’t keep hold of the first parcel which would apparently have had a weight on it, they basically accused me of lying about the whole contents not being delivered. The order was insured with them but that meant nothing.

I then stopped using them for months but eventually gave in and bought something fairly cheap. It came in two orders. The first one was sent with no address, just the post code, so it never arrived. I chased it up and it was stuck in the post office, if I hadn’t found it there Banggood were basically saying tough, even though it was insured. The second part never arrived.. when I contacted them again they said sorry it was delivered so there is nothing they can do. After about 3 weeks a neighbour came to see me and said a parcel had came with part of my address on but they didn’t know me and couldn’t link it to me until another neighbour helped them. By that point they had returned it to sender. Banggood said it was delivered and basically accused me of lying/theft again.

Annoyingly I’ve spent about £2000 on their site over the years, never had an issue and never tried it on with them - you’d think there would be some sort of customer care, especially when you insure the postage, but they were awful.
