Spec me an LED Torch

Rather than starting a new thread I'm going to ask here:

What voltage should 3.6V battery charge to? Its Rofis RF26650 5500mAh cell.. Just charged it (Nitecore i4) and it only measures 3.5V, is it dying on me?

Charger is fine, charges my other batteries to over 4V or whatever voltage I set.. I read some 3.6V batteries should actually be charged to 3.6V, could it be the case? I can't find any datasheet for this cell.. Battery is 3 1/2 years old, got charged some 50 times, always stored at room temperature..

edit: I used the torch a bit, and now the voltage is 4.1V. Looks like I didn't measure the voltage properly before :o

Please: Does one of these exist?

I'm thinking of buying a head torch. Preferably having:

Beam & Flood
Right Angled
Magnetic end
USB C
Comfortable and replacable headband
In the region of £20 - 30

I have a Sofirn, On The Road and Trustfire torches and I'm happy with their quality, all purchased on Aliexpress (VAT incl).

TIA

my turn lol. having lost 2 of my torches (really nice small inspection lamp with cob led, and another fold lamp - both bought for a good price i think sub £10 each) need something similar. dont mind if it takes time to arrive but just not sure if its worth paying extra in case i lose it again

I've still got the Fenix E35 V3.0 torch I bought a couple of years ago. The size is good, the design is good. It's the right weight.

The light is just too yellow. It's not a very white light, nowhere near as white as the OLIGHT PL-1 II Valkyrie I had before.

Do they do a white light version or is there anything else anyone can suggest that's basically the same size and brightness but less yellow? I very much like the direct USB-C charging straight into the battery.

Thanks.

I emailed Fenix.

"Hi Feek

Thank you for your enquiry.

The E35 V3 should be a cool tint light although the colour can vary slightly from torch to torch.

As such I cannot guarantee a replacement would be cooler tint.

Lots of Love

Fenix support"

Damn :(

Any suggestions for a replacement please? Similar size, similar weight, similar brightness, just a proper white light.

What the flashlight enthusiast community usually do when they decide the torch is putting out the wrong shade of white is replace the LED buuut I can't see any modding posts about a Fenix E35.

It's possible it's not a practical model to disassemble for modding. The popular models for modding screw apart in a reliable way.

The Luminus SST70 LED used in this Fenix torch is toward the cooler side, but more of a middleground between that and the warmer CRI side.

The torch enthusiast community also seem to generally prefer higher CRI LEDs which tend toward the yellowier side, rather than cool white ones.
But like any enthoo crowd, they can be very picky and snobby about such things...

Does anybody where I can find some replacement glass for the Astrolux EA01S? Part of mine seems fogged or hazed and cleaning with alcohol wipes isn't moving it.

Needing a replacement torch for work

Budget somewhere around £100 and smaller would be better

Ideally something with a very tight beam focus. I don’t need any other features

Any suggestions?

Just bought a Nitecore P20iX for travels. Wanted something with a more basic UI than my current 2 Zebralights and 2 Astrolux flashlights.

When I moved out of my old house in 2021 I sold/lost/got rid of all of my torches and now I need a new one. I haven't looked into torches for a couple of years and I'm not sure where to go to get decent ones. I'd like them to be either 18650 or 20700 and last a good amount of time on one charge. 4 batteries are doable, 2 batteries are preferred. Over 5000 lumens.

Eldest son is off to a festival this weekend, any decent hand held torch anyone would recommend? Nothing fancy
Something cheap and bright yellow or International Signal Orange from your local camping shop and 2-3 reloads of whatever batteries it takes.

Make sure it has a lanyard or make one for it out of paracord so he doesn’t lose it and can find it again when he drops it.

What happened to Fast Tech? I seem to remember getting all of my torches and vaping equipment from them.

Any way. I'm looking for a 5000 (or more) lumen torch which takes either 4x 18650 or 2x 21700. To be used for night time walks in woods.
