Spec me an LED Torch

Amigafan, you seem to know your torches. Which would you say was the better torch out of the Fenix TK12 R5 and the OLIGHT M20 R5 Warrior Premium?

I prefer the Fenix because it is better regulated on 18650 cells. If you're only going to use cr123 primaries, there isn't much in it. Fenix lights also seem to offer more run time for the same light output as well - they are very efficient.

Olight review (R2 version but the R5 is essentially the same):-

I seem to have an interest in torches too... all mine are rubbish though, when i compare LEDs to Bulbs there's no competition, LEDs are brighter, last longer (in terms of both battery and overall) and you don't get the annoying circle in the middle.

Would be nice to have one, reliable, torch for everything... just got a few wind up ones i have on a rotor now :)

Along with flashaholics as i already mentioned ledfiretorches also stock 4sevens.

Doh - you're right - they must have sneaked in under my radar.

I'd still take the chance and order from the US though - the Quark aa2 Turbo is £62.95 on flashaholics but only £48 direct from 4sevens.

Thanks :). Think I will go for the Fenix.

My 18650 battery came today, ordered from Fenix-torch and got a card in there from Flashaholics, I didn't know they were linked. If i@d have known about that 8% discount I would have ordered from there .

Its massive compared to an AA, I was thinking they were similar in size.

Strange, I sent an email to [email protected] and got a reply from [email protected]

I reckon they are all linked

Yes they are, I remember when there was only 4sevens, then he made a separate store for the fenix torches.

On a side note, I am after a fairly cheap small torch, should I got cr123a or AAA? Right now I have Fenix L2D for general use, just want something really compact.

A single AA would be better from my very limited knowledge. cr123a is harder to find/expensive and aaa doesnt have enough power. Something like the Quark AA or Fenix LD10

I have cancelled my order from 4sevens and ordered from the discount code from flashaholics with some Eneloop AA Batteries. Faster delivery, can send back to uk if there is a problem and cuts out the chance of import customs/tax charges. It worked out £9 more at flashaholics but possibly worth it for the above reasons

Exactly what I was thinking. Mainly the faster delivery as I hate having to wait 1-2 weeks :D.

Just ordered the Fenix TK12 from flashaholics for £59 after the 8% discount.

Strange, a few days ago I emailed the following to [email protected]

'Hi, What is the battery life on max setting for the Lenser P7? I can only find the '130 hour life' but im guessing its a lot lower for max power Thanks'

I have just received this reply...

'Max/High you will get around 30-35 hours. There is only about a 5% drop from max to high.'

Yet people on candle power forums say its more like 30 minutes. I also thought the Lenser was not regulated so it slowly dims
