Sorry to hijack your thread Halk but I'm doing more and more distance cycling and am after some decent polarised Oakleys. Any suggestions ?

I'm after a new pair after a mishap with my Raybans.

They were aviators but I really like the look of the Oakley Whiskers. Is it worth getting them Polarized?

I think it is worth it, you don't get glare that way.

I have Oakleys that I got in Las Vegas in 2005. They have interchangable lenses but the ones I use when out biking are scratched and looking a bit worse for wear so I'm thinking about some polarised ones but wouldn't know where to start.

I've got the oakley whisker and have had them since they first came about 3 years now, they have been through the wars, daily cycling commute, thrown in bags etc when the weather has closed in. i have never been precious with them and they are still going strong.

I'm thinking about a pair of their sports shades maybe something to go under a motorbike helmet as the metal arms of the whiskers scrapes the side of my head when taking off/putting on.

That shop is on Southend High Street and they're really good. They've got loads of stock and are dead helpful. I bought a set of sunnies and then decided they didn't suit me a day later, they happily let me swap them out for a different set.

On a related note, shop is staffed almost entirely by top drawer crumpet.
