After 2 cards the performance jump is usually less noticeable and isn't as large usually.

sensible I suppose. I would still take a single GPU card (570, 6970).

Also, one meter cable is not very long at all.

The 2 6870s are quicker than a 580. I can change the cable now so thanks.

Note that the deals will change Wednesday. ASAP if you are happy with it. If you want to go 6870 x2 then that's fine. You can specify the delivery date when you order.

Cheers. You can display icons if you type "about: plugins" and go in options. Maybe I should enable that by default.

The specify date thing doesn't work for me always comes early. Luckily I've only ordered small things so they were slipped through the post.

It outperforms the 2 6870s but then the difference is only 6 fps and the 2 6870s are cheaper.

Help please.

meh. It quite noisy, and very big. That'd be a no-no for me. Also you'd have to have a massive PSU for 6870X2 CF and so on. And the cards are so big you'll have to worry about the case.

6870 CF sounds more sensible to me.

Stick with your plan, it a good plan

<Then again, I'd prefer a 6950 2GB, and get another one later

6870CF seems a bit OTT at the moment.>

I've decied by looking at 4 reviews of both from the same site to go with the 6870 crossfire

6950 idea is also a good one but I don't feel like upgrading unless it's for minor things like coolers.

Might upgrade to Ivybridge later on though.
