The first one was probably the best film of 2018 or at least very close to it so I have high hopes, but it also feels like a film that is hard to follow. So much of the first one is simply unrepeatable, and multiverses are usually a difficult subject matter to work well with, so where do they go with this sequel that is going to be as interesting, surprising, and fresh as the first?

I can't say either trailer is particularly inspiring so far.

Loved the 1st one. I'm not really feeling this new art style for the sequel, but maybe it will grow on me.

Consensus amongst friends seems to be that this is better than the last one. Reviews are also looking very positive, might have to make it an opening weekend watch.

Aye, been hearing very good things about it. 1st one is probably better due to the 'novelty' but it's bloody close seems to be the consensus.

Watched it today and I can confirm imo it is better than the first one. Very well thought out but there is one thing i wasn't aware.

Do not click if you haven't seen it yet.

It's just part 1 of the continuing story.

That’s partly what I’m worried about going into this one. I had zero expectations for the first and knew nothing about it, and that added to the whole experience. I have high hopes for this one and it has a lot to follow so I’m tentatively excited this time round.

Same, it should have the same effect. Like all good sequels things have to ramp up bigger and better with higher stakes. The use of not only the animation but the sounds, the music and voice acting is impressive. IIt uses and mixes everything past and present to give you a great movie experience. Hopefully it will exceed expectations. It certainly did for me. Let us know what you think after you watched it.
