Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse

Annoying that the UHD Disc with the bitrate such a film deserves isn't until September - blatant attempt to get people to double dip... and they wonder why piracy is ripe again

It's even better on second viewing imo. So many small jokes and one liners that I missed the 1st time round. Perfect blend of comedy and super hero stuff. Everything ties in so well to the 1st spiderverse film, and the Spiderman/sony multiverse as a whole. If anyone watches this without watching the 1et film, they're missing out imo.

9/10

Even if the strikes a delay the finale for 2 years, I'll still try to watch it on day 1, based on the second film.

Edit: easily in the top 3 Marvel films since Endgame

Thought this was amazing. Stunning artwork throughout but found the Brit glitchy animation a bit of a headache, could have done with more frames in his movements.

Literally just finished watching this, i don't understand how a film can just be that damn good. I absolutly loved the first one and this sequel was perfect. If part 2 holds up to the same quality this will easily be the best Spiderman Trilogy. The animation, story, characters every part of it, i normally watch films in the background while playing on my phone or something this just kept my attention throughout.

I just loved the art style, did miss the characters from season one "Noir" but happy we had them teased at the end of it, the cliffhanger at the end though left me really wanting more.

If other studios copy this art style we will be in for a real treat.

Just got off the port and watched this. Wow it was fantastic, better than the first. Him evading all the Spidermen, come on! Yea I get he's the MC. It got serious in places and intense. The part where he was sent to earth 42 was a fantastic twist.

Just a shame we didn't get some Easter eggs like the 90s Spider-Man cartoon that was an amazing series. They did show Tobey but not Andrew or Tom. Would have been cool to have a good Symbiote Spider-Man or Man-Spider.

Earth 42 Miles had 0 chill, loved it. Just gutted the strike is gonna delay the sequel.

Andrew is definitely in it and it wouldn't surprise me if they snuck in the animated one in somewhere. There were so many scenes I was tempted to pause to check for Easter eggs and things I missed the 1st time round. I'll save them for my 3rd viewing!

I really like the first one but this isn't as good. I found the story in the first hour didn't flow that well and it being in 2 parts is disappointing. Doesn't seem like there was much more story to tell to bring it to a conclusion.

Love this film so much, I've watched it about 5 more times since it came out on digital lol. The first one is still awesome but this one is even better, can't wait for the 3rd one. The soundtrack is incredible too, needs to get an Oscar.

I agree, not a fan of this 2 part movie stuff. I don't mind a trilogy etc, but a movie needs to be able to stand on its own ground. Now it's essentially a 5 hour movie and it doesn't have a conclusion.

The matrix worked when they both got released in the same year.

But with strikes its most likely to be 2025/2026.

Regardless it was still a great super hero movie, way better than 90% of live action stuff.

Took its sweet time to get going. I thought the battle with spot at the start was waaaaay to long. I agree about the over use of animation styles, there is just way too many.

Overall I thought this was just as good as the first film, and once again - if you have a hue gradient setup, your walls will be full of glorious colour as it is a great flick to demo the lighting.

Such a well made movie - rarely is a 2hr+ movie engaging from start to finish.

Animated movies sometimes have an advantage because you can make almost anything happen, but the story was great, which is often what gets left behind in other movies.
