Spider-Man (PS4)

Not a massive fan of DLC coming out weeks after the base game tbh BUT if its side stuff and not a continuation of the story I don't really mind it.

Seems like there's plenty of content and a story with a satisfying conclusion.

Guess I missed the memo where Insomniac said all DLC would be free, and clearly they went back on their word and deserve **** for daring to want to be paid for the things they do.
I feel like such a fool, because obviously they're ass-holes who took out parts of the main game just so they could release it afterwards...right.... right....?
 
A lot of this is out of Insomniacs hands surely? I imagine Sony handle the business side of stuff and marketing.

I won't be buying it personally as I've had my fill i think, hopefully I can get the story done soon as I'd like to see how it goes but I've mostly stopped the optional stuff as it's just there for the sake of it

I guess it's down to individuals for they feel about it but I personally hate the fact that on release day there's a DLC pack for part of the game? Fair enough a few months down the line but it's a joke paywalling parts of the game at launch IMO. :mad:

There's a season pass. The first part of the DLC isn't actually released until October 23rd - it's called "the Heist" and features Black Cat in a story that's unrelated to the main game. Bearing in mind how much some people have complained about playing as MJ as a part of driving the story, I don't see why they would be happy about playing as Black Cat to not drive the story.

It's hardly like Spider-Man is incomplete without it. It's still a 30+ hour game with a bunch of content that fits into the world and a complete story.
 
I suckered in and let my Spiderman fanboyism took over and bought the DLC.

I'm loving the look of the game so far but the pricing on new titles has reinforced my resolve not to buy anything on release even further, especially all the DLC coming out.

For example, I loved the world in AC Origins but didn't buy the expansions as they cost more than I paid for the base game, which is quite ridiculous.

I'll slowly work on my backlog of pretty great titles I got during various sales and get to the likes of Spider-Man, Forza Horizon 4, AC Odyssey and RDR 2 once they go down in price.
