Spider web

WEll why dont we build stuff out of it instead of steel then? The world trader centre probably wouldnt have fallen down if it had been

Ok, then we need an experiment, lots of flies and a spider silk building. We just need to make sure they fly in the same direction and their wings are not stuck

Well you could easily have a farm they dont take up much space do they? and then when they die you can collect them up and they will decompose and then you can dump them on the rainforest so it grows back again

You're a special kind of troll aren't you.

It would take far more time / effort and probably tens of millions of spiders to make the equivilent of a 100th of the time and effort for a steel mill.

Rich.

God you post / talk some crud.

weight for weight of spider silk vs steel, spider silk is stronger - it's not the strongest thing on earth though is it?

Thats blantantly Chuck Norris.

Rich

well i think you did, also spider silk is renewable

Well, as you can see above I didn't.

And renewable in TINY TINY quantities - it is only useful if the chemical structure that makes it so strong can be analysed and that used in conjunction with other substances to make useable building materials for humans - spidersilk is stronger yes but it is sticky, and flammable as previously stated.

learn to read posts.

I wonder if you could harness all the power from the combined buzzing you would hear / feel. Would be a self powered building :D
