I've never really been a fan of "kid spiderman", preferring the grown up Peter Parker version, but I guess they had to go a different way thanks to Sony running their version into the ground. At least this brings him into the MCU where Spiderman belongs.
Anyone suggesting Andrew 30 something Garfield, high school Spidey "nailed it" probably should forget anything they ever thought about spiderman. frankly in the few moments Tom Holland appears as parker/Spidey in the last cap movie, he is painfully obviously closer to both than any previous actor by a mile. You are welcome to hold an opinion that differs no matter how obviously nonsense that would be!
My biggest concern is the director, Holland fills me with confidence and the MCU tie up is about time. The scene is set more like ultimate Spider-Man than the previous movie renditions. So more confident Marvel will nail it than any Sony attempt.
