my worst experience was when I went (barefoot) to put an old pair of shoes on that I kept by the back door. Put one foot in and thought 'oh the lining must be a bit rucked up', picked up the shoe and 2 spiders (medium sized) crawled out. I threw the shoe onto the patio and screamed my head off!!!! I always check my shoes now!!!

Yeah, I've suddenly got tonnes of tarantulas wandering around my room  Funny thing is, they're all in thanks too. No idea where they all came from ;)

That a lot of spiders in awfully small spaces Lostkat...

I'm curious, if for some reason they all got loose - would you merely skip town and claim your house as a write-off on your insurance?

Write-off? lol :D

They wouldn't get loose. They're all secure, and contrary to popular belief, they can't melt glass/plasic with their laser eyes :p I've only ever had 1 escape, and that was my fault - found him though.

IF by some amazing feat they did get loose, I'd find as many as I could and re-home them. The rest would die of hunger/cold :(

Be gone Devil woman be gone.
Can i ask if you have ever taken a man home for him to crap himself and run away screaming like a 4 year old girl who has dropped her ice cream.
It would take a better man than me to do " my Thing " whilst those ******* were in the house. :p
One or two would be ok but that is a nest and you Scare me. :(

Lostkat, I would never sleep knowing that many spiders were in the house! Im not overly squeamish but loads of spiders..err! :p

No, because I've had the same bf for 4 years, and I acquired the spiders within that time frame :) Leon keeps them too!

It's not as if they sit there watching you, or even care :) I don't hear a peep out of them, except for the odd scuffle to catch a cricket in the night or some late-night drumming (mating).

*looks around*

20 tarantulas. Same deal as Lostkat. They dont bother us, and we dont bother them.

We dont have very many house spiders at all though, i dont know why? Perhaps it's just a co-incidence.

9 so far (7 slings), with 2 more slings on the way.

Since I started getting tarantulas I've not noticed a single house spider prowling about.

There used to be a house spider we'd see regularly patrolling the wall in the same room as the Ts. Since they've been housed there, he's conspicuous by his absence.

I wonder if it's coincidental? :)
