Quite docile spiders as well

Generally web their tank up stupidly though so you never see them

We have had a few this size in the house:

Usually in the corner of the dining room right above my wifes computer which is funny because she is terrified of spiders.

We get those too. It's probably one of those Giant House Spiders/Cardinal Spiders. They can give you a nip apparently.

That is absolutely awesome - I want one! Are they hard to look after?

Also, for some reason I had it in my head that blue coloured ones were aggressive... :/ Not sure where that came from.

I like spiders, haven't found any nesting in the PC yet, though there are large ones in my flat.

edit. I used to have some tiny remote control cars. There used to be a huge spider living under the television. If you drove one of the cars past the television, the spider would leap out and attack it.
