Seemed longer than what most expected but will see how much it effects Rangers with the rest of the season. At least the co-efficient is back up for two team qualification in a couple of seasons time. :)

Dundee Utd 1-0 Inverness CT
Hamilton 0-0 St Johnstone
Hearts 3-2 St Mirren
Kilmarnock 3-1 Motherwell

Today's results. Rather sneaked the result against St Mirren there but it's just good to be winning.

The best team on the day DID win - Celtic not at their best - just didn't seem fired up for it at all today.

Weiss, Jelavic, Whittaker and Davis were all immense for Rangers - thoroughly deserved and glad to see a wee bit more positive play from them for a change - hopefully its a sign of things to come under McCoist - the whole of Scottish Football will benefit from it I think.

Just watched the Scottish cup final and it's like watching football from the 80's, the pitch was awful and they were more intent in kicking 10 bells of **** out of each other :D

I think it was the way Rangers played that made Celtic play the way they did best team won it.

Samaras should have been swaped out after the first half imo. Still, well done rangers (grrr) I felt myself getting so anoyed at celtic it's evident we just couldnt compete today. I do wonder how much of that was down to lennon not being there to rally the troops.

Anyway, there is still the league.....

Good game to watch had pretty much everything typical of an Old Firm final even with the referee decisions for the "penalties" that might have spoilt it. Will need to see why Izaguirre got sent off near the end though. After the previous OF SPL games thought it would be one sided today with Celtic winning by at least two goals.

Weiss breaking Celtic keeper in Rangers box barged into his back had to go

Professional foul, keeper was in the Rangers box and Weiss half an empty half and an empty goal, he had to go.

Best team won on the day, only complaint for the ref was the handball that should have been a Rangers penalty, both Jelavic and whoever the Celtic player was who dived were never penalties. Doesn't matter though, was a much better game than the last one.

Well done to Rangers, you coped better with an awful pitch. As was shown in the recent Motherwell game, some Celtic players are not at their best unless they are playing on a decent pitch and Hampden resembled a ploughed field. We where unable to play our usual passing game and as such, where nothing like the team who so easily beat Rangers in three recent games.

I was a bit perplexed by Ranger's second goal though. Pulling the ball back while the majority of the Celtic players had pushed up for an attack, quickly taken free kick which allowed Jelavic to run through on goal. Not exactly fair play.

The penalty incidents for Rangers where laughable. One outrageous dive which I felt should have been a sending off and a handball which actually hit his upper arm. Celtic had the better call with Wilson being fouled.

Anyhoo, well done Rangers. The league is still there to be won and while the treble may be bust, the double is still on for us. Hail Hail.
