That's a decent lead time from the sound of it.
the installer says that their shipment of multi-split systems are being delivered in the next fortnight...so hopefully no delays

Nice. I was put off with pipework in the loft as it needs a pump running which can add noise.
Which brand are you getting installed? Price and size looks the same as mine.
yeah the installer did say about needing a pump. tbf i already have a fan on my solar inverter running, so it probably isn't a biggie.
apparently the trunking costs will be similar to the pump installation

i priced up the internal and external unit costs and it works out to be £2690 (exc vat)
so at £6.5k it leaves £3.8k for the install, misc items (pump/piping/etc), electrics and commissioning, profit
sounds comparable to what i've seen in this thread

Just worth doing some comparisons. I'm not sure if we have anyone on here with Samsung but maybe they could comment.
That's good. Daikin comes up as being recommended a lot. I'm happy with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries - had one installed at the salon for 4 years now and no issues. Mitsubishi Electrics seems to be the A tier brand.
Daikin are supposed to be the rolls Royce my installer does Fujitsu and Daikin. He said really there’s no reason to go Daikin over Fujitsu they’re both very high quality just Daikin is more expensive. He said the Daikin is marginally more efficient in heating mode.
I believe Mitsubishi are also supposed to be very good, I wouldn’t touch Haier with a barge pole.

We went Daikin at the time since they were one of the first to do more stylish indoor units in various colours along with them being the quietest at the time, useful for bedroom units. I don’t bother with night mode anymore though, auto doesn’t wake me.
We blast ours out for the final hour or so of the EV tariff. For this reason I wouldn’t mount external units on the wall again as they are louder on heating mode in the depth of winter.
We did everything possible to avoid the loft option, luckily it was very easy to duct everything outside.
