Split Air con

The coefficient of performance isn’t fixed and is advertised as a peek and in reality will operate in a range.

The colder it is the lower the heating performance. It’s almost impossible to test reliably at home which is cheaper. At best it will be an estimate based on rated average efficiency of both appliances using a standard heat loss calculation for the room.

Pics - will finish work, find host etc etc :-)

Whole service was very good. Not intrusive and I've been on the phone all day without any big interruptions. The 3 guys very pleasant and lots of questions on preference where needed and professional. Did a full test and handover. Plus they did the outdoor install in this weather which has been frankly rank today. In the demo, I have to say these Zen units are incredibly quiet even at full speed.

Overall, impressed.

What set up did you go for? I gone for a loft air duct unit and 2 Mitsubishi Zen downstairs.

@happy_2008 Mine are on the first few pages of this thread. I've quoted them here to keep them all together:

So... it starts.

Both my rear bedrooms (one used as my office) have been core drilled and units fitted (both look identical). Before they can fit the master bedroom unit, scaffolding needs to go up above my garage so they can safely drill through (its very high up).

Close up of the hole. Walls look well insulated :D

I wont bother posting a pic of the rear of the house until everything is finished but it looks very neat so far. Things didn't go to plan with the outside trunking due to where the core drilled holes had to be but despite that still very happy.

I had my install finished today. Very happy. Internal units are very quiet, easily controllable by either the remote, or by the app over wifi (loads of options for setting times for it to come on etc). The external unit also seems quiet too when all 3 of my rooms was fired up at once.

Master bedroom unit - no longer needed a condense pump as behind the wall it is on there is a drain in my cupboard for my water tanks overflow. Very handy. The gas pipes go up in to the loft, out the gable end of my house and down to the back of the house.

I forgot to take any finished pictures of the outside unit whilst it was daylight. I'll add tomorrow or when the scaffold has gone.

I think the bedroom is the most important. I can live with a hot office but glad I was able to add mine easily to the install.

The scaffolders came back today to remove all of the scaffold (Yipee).

Three units, two on the middle floor at the back of the house, one on the top floor in the master bedroom at the front of the house - the refrigerant piping is routed through the loft and out the gable end (condense line drains in to my hot water tank cupboard).

Nice what colour ducting did they use?

White inside and out, matches our lovely upvc. We have a tiled first floor rather than brick which is a pain apparently but happy with what we got. Basically get it to match your guttering, but they are experienced enough to tell you that. Bring on the heat! We are so well insulated this place is an oven upstairs May to September!

Have you decided yet? ETA yes of course you have. Disruption during the day is worth it. Congrats!
