***SPOILERS AHOY!!!*** Football 1st-5th Jan

Having two games in hand isn't always a blessing though. Means you have to fit those in amongst other fixtures and potentially end up having another little Christmas period of your own later in the season.

A city fan passing comment about the reletive merits of games in hand and points on the board in a title race?

What ever next giving advice on how the Title winning celbrations should go?

LoL I like the way people are fighting over who's going to win the title over 2 games in hand and some extra goal difference. They've only played half the season ffs, which means theoretically anyone in the league could still win it.

I'm well aware it's not decided now, just stating games in hand aren't always the blessing they're made out to be.

Tute: I know how games in hand work thankyou ;) That's the point, possibility of 6. You don't have them yet. We'll all see what happens :)

No it doesnt, Without going into the mathmatics involved its already impossible for something like 8 teams not to be able to win it, as two teams cant loose the same match.

ahaha I just meant it's still an open contest, I didn't realise anyone would actually do the math :D

Like others have said the title race is not over but for us Chelsea fans, we really need to concentrate on 3rd place in the short term, anything else is too far out of reach for now :( It is Utd's to lose atm though.

I really enjoyed Sky harping on about "Terry leading by example" "Never gives up" ect ect, and then it's him who plays the Villa goal scorer on side :D

Caught the end of the chelsea match, very exciting finish but I couldn't believe how many times chelsea dived to try and win penalties towards the end!

Can't blame them, worked well for them in the second half.

They committed 17 fouls against Villa's 11 and Villa got 8 yellow cards :D

I don't think there's much between these two, Newcastle just slightly better in the final third.
