to be fair - Spurs were always good at under-performing (or not being as good as the sum of their parts) until Rednapp came along

(there have been changes along the way too - but Tottenham were not as good as they should have been for a number of years too)

You seem to misunderstand. It's not that Spurs are ever good, it's their opponents are always worse than them. Spurs don't win games, the other teams lose them.... at least that's how most people seem to think anyway.

TBH in the past 5 seasons they pretty much did as well as expected apart from 2 shocking starts to the season which saw Jol and Ramos lose their jobs.
