Milner was good in his defensive duties I thought, but just didn't have the beating of the Bulgarian right-back.
Milner was solid tonight..put some good corners in and tracked back well, did a lot better than Walcott

I really don't rate Gareth Barry very highly at all. Never have. Sure it gives us good balance in midfield with him being left footed, but he is so slow and predictable he gets caught out far too often in central midfield in my opinion.
Thought Milner's corners were poor tonight as well. I can only recall one that was put into a dangerous area and can't think of any that were met by England heads. The rest of his game tonight though was quite good.

Seriously?? My step-dad can be a bit sky sports sometimes, but even he doesn't think this meant a lot to our prospects.

Dawson has both a twisted knee and ankle. Scan in the morning.
Oof, it did look like a really bad fall, can't see him being fit for a while.
Thought it was a good performance and everybody did their job. Glen Johnson is woeful though, truly bad player
Not happy with the performance?
I thought it was "okay" remember who we are playing.
I still think some players just aren't good enough. I still don't rate Capello.

Yep it's a great use of probably the best finisher on the pitch.
defoe once again proves he is the best finisher on the pitch and in the squad. if any other striker but rooney had the recent run of form he has, they'd have been dropped. but i appreciate rooneys work rate, he was everywhere at times and maybe he is now better suited to that with defoe just banging them in

Considering he set up at least 3 of the goals he can't have played that badly.
I was there for the 2nd half (was working there so got in for free

Rooney played excellently, and so did Defoe with his finishing. Milner also put in a lot of effort.

Dawson could be out for a few months I'd guess and Rooney played very well, not his best, but decent enough.
