***SPOILERS*** Football 11th-13th Dec '10

Honestly? His passing was dreadful and he kept slowing down play when Chelsea had a chance to break.

I don't think that there was a clear MOTM. I'd probably give it to Palacios though. Best I've seen him play in a long, long time.

Are you joking? Some people just seem to love to hate John Terry regardless of his performances. He was solid today, an absolute rock at the back.

He kept slowing down play? Did you not see him constantly bursting forward from defense after making last ditch tackles? His passing was dreadful? Don't quite know where you're getting that from either.

Once again, hardly any Chelsea fans on these boards. Am I the first Chelsea fan to post about this game? No wonder why I'm always getting into heated debates.

That's beccause you only come here when you win :p

Or to moan about pens when you've lost :p

another top top entertainment show from spurs. bit gutted about how chelsea scored but a draw is fair. bae had a great game! don't know why defoe was taken off for crouch, only assume it's because he's not fully fit?

I assume it was to have someone to get onto the end of the deliveries from Bale and Hutton that were going to waste.

John Terry's "constant bursting forwards" was what got Chelsea in so much trouble defensively today. He should have been staying put and keeping an eye on the likes of Crouch and Defoe. After all, its not his fault Ancelotti thought a midfield of Mikel and Essien would be dynamic enough to take the fight to Spurs.

you will be lucky....without the aid of pizza :)
A terrible defensive record this season (2 clean sheets, against Blackpool and Wolves), no Fabregas, and an utterly woeful record against your lot recently.

We're going to win 2-0. \o/

More rubbish.

It didn't get Chelsea in any trouble. It potentially could have done but it didn't...

Good result today, should be an easy win tomorrow unless Howard Webb awards multiple penalties to Man Utd, which he will, but Arsenal will win due to their ridiculous outscoring policy.

4 - 5

Finding it so hard not to bite....... :o

Thought Bale had a good game  Just kept getting fouled constantly.

Firstly JT was absolutely solid at the back, he made ONE bad pass near the end after he'd run the length of the pitch, not received the ball and was giving up and walking back, his lay off to the wing wasn't fantastic but there wasn't much else he could do with it. Defensively he owned anyone who went near him, helped by Lennon being utterly utterly awful. How can you run directly into a man standing still 30 yards away, just how, change direction at any point.

As for the penalties, are we talking about Essien should have been sent off for fouling Bale near the end? Seriously, watch it again Bale just does a Gerrard, rather than plant his right foot, he just picks it up, its a dive and not the first he did all game. Bale had a rubbish game, delivery was generally miles past the goal, runs predictable and spent most of the game failing to get by one of the leagues slower and also one of the worst right backs.

HE did something earlier aswell, he tried to go between two players, flicked the ball then he spun and fell, the problem is, he started spinning well before he actually hit, I think it was Essien, it was one of several dives he did.

The essien shin incident, not pretty, certainly not intentional and Bale made a meal of it, for 4 seconds he acted like his leg was broken, and when the card didn't come out he forgot about his shin and started yelling at the ref, got up, went off, came on, no sign of even a limp IIRC.

Pav as I said got "revenge" on Essien by trying to stamp on the back of his legs, half way up his shin, with his studs, that was the only should have been straight red in the game.

Palacios also went down a bunch of times in the second half looking like he'd broken his leg, then was fine a minute later, several players kept going down, seemed to be Spurs thinking they had to hold up for a draw at that point.

It was an exciting game in that it was mostly end to end, but there was little quality on show by anyone.

Palacios MOTM, I have no idea where you get that from, he barely stood out against a no where near form Essien, a truly woeful Ramires and a also woeful Mikel.

AS I've said for a few years, Chelsea are shockingly weak in depth. Malouda is rubbish 99% of his time at Chelsea, Ramires has been rubbish for the past 3 years, useless player, Mikel, a lot worse than usual at the moment. Kalou, mostly worthless and Anelka really doesn't seem to be able to turn a game himself.

Both sides were pretty dire today.

My MOM would have to go to Ekoto. Never thought I would say that, but I thought he had a very solid game.

Although Palacios played better than he has been of late, he is still holding us back. He gives the ball away to often, and without VDV we are relying almost solely on Modric for creativity.

Despite Chelsea completely dominating the second half you're all nominating Tottenham players as MOTM? (Probably because you're all spurs fans...) I fully understand a defender being in contention for man of the match but Chelsea were so dominant in the second half that I can't really see how anyone in a white shirt could be awarded it.
