***SPOILERS*** Football 11th-13th Dec '10

Go back to my post and read it properly :p

I read it fine the first time.

You're implying that because Ramires wouldn't have got the ball, it can't therefore be a stonewall penalty. That's nonsense.

Whether Ramires would have got the ball or not makes no difference. Gomes came rushing out, clattered into Ramires and got no where near the ball, it's a stonewall penalty.

Jeez do you need me to spell it out for you?

Go back and read my post "in the context it was said"

Not a bad result I spose. Gives us a nice margin over everyone else when we win tomorrow.

you will be lucky....without the aid of pizza :)

next couple of weeks could really define the season for Chelsea, Arsenal or Utd - even with the game in hand Utd cant afford to lose tomorrow, and it could so easily go either way

Oh come on, take the emotional football fan out of it and you know your tried and tested plan will work on us.

Wait for us to build up an attack, then counter while donkey raping Koscielny. Rinse and repeat.

Jeez.

The fact that Bale wouldn't have got the ball is completely relevant when determining whether Essien should have been sent off. It wasn't a goalscoring opportunity because Bale wouldn't have even kept the ball in play, so it wasn't worth a red.

The fact that Ramires wouldn't have got the ball has no relevance at all and was a stonewall penalty.

Whether you said what you did in isolation or whether you said it in response to R5Rich, your post still doesn't make sense.

or look at it another way;

Arsenal's performances/results at OT recently

&

Man Utd being unbeaten in the league

=

A really tragic/terrible loss for the home team (rubbing salt into the wounds, the 1st loss....at home....would be worse Because its the Gunners)

Great game at the Lane. Entertainment all round and Chelsea probably deserved all three points for me due to their great second half of dominance but I'll not complain, as a draw is pretty good for United. :D

Same could be said for when Cole passed it back to Cech in the first half then deliberately shoved Defoe over as he run passed him to close Cech down, no chance of winning the ball and Defoe would more than likely not have got the ball either.

Are you saying that was stonewall too?

Meh, I used to fear Arsenal a few years ago when they came to Old Trafford.

Currently in present day, usually if United show up and put some effort in they usually win on the day. Even if Arsenal are the better team with their general play, someone like Diaby will come along and ruin it all.

lol at all the spurs fans going on about the Drogba handball.

Quickly forgot your goal was offside didn't you?

Chelsea were the better team over the course of the 90 minutes. More possession, more attempts on goal and more corners. Credit to both teams, was a very open game. Who got MOTM btw? For me it was JT.

I don't know because I can't recall an incident like that

T'was a pen.

Gomes seemed set on letting Chelsea win. A shocking mistake for their goal and then a rugby tackle in the penalty area.

Enjoyed the game despite the poor standard of football.

Bale? Who?

Honestly? His passing was dreadful and he kept slowing down play when Chelsea had a chance to break.

I don't think that there was a clear MOTM. I'd probably give it to Palacios though. Best I've seen him play in a long, long time.
