Something about an anniversary from 100 odd years a go, can't remember what the commentator said exactly. They used to wear an all white shirt with a separate red sash, that's what this kit is all about for this season.

I feel sorry for Owen when I see him in matches like this. Not that he hasn't played his part in his decline but it's hard to believe he was once a dreadfully feared striker throughout Europe (if not the world.)

He's had injuries yes, but like Fowler I always got the impression that once he made himself extremely rich the 'hunger' to be a striker at the same level kind of disappeared.
