Konchesky.

On yesterdays showing more league one than premier league.

I don't jump on bandwaggons, so i never slatted the guy in the past, but it was fairly shocking yesterday.

It's hard to belive billy would have had him in the team if he didn't care, but thats what it looked like yesterday.

Played 3-4 realy nice cross field balls, aside from that nothing but errors, almost gifting scunny a 1-1.

Seemed unable to play a one-two.... nearly everything he tried to channel fell flat with groans from the crowd.

Tbh i saw the dread you liverpool fans had in the fella when we played at norwich the other week, he was constantly out of position with the norwich flanker 5-10 yards behind him. On the night if it hadn't been for Morgan and chambers coming over on the cover, we'd have got stuffed.

No way he's getting anywhere near the liverpool team.

Carroll's only fit enough for the place on the bench for us today but Johnson's back and starts at LB in place of Robinson:
------------Reina
Flanagan-Carra-Skrtel-Johnson
-------Spearing-Lucas
--Meireles--Suarez---Maxi
------------Kuyt

Strong enough line-up, although some positions are suspect.

Strengthening in the right areas in the Summer could lead to a recovery putting the current to shame. Hiring a rosy-cheeked Scot seems to have done you guys wonders... ;)

Bit harsh on the lad :(

Maybe but Kenny's spoke about the risk of playing the kids too much too soon. Robinson's still got a bit of work to do physically before he's ready for regular first team football; he came off last week because of cramp.

I think the hope has always been that Konchesky would 'do a Shorey' and come and really fill the gap in the side that has been so glaringly obvious. It's not happened. I don't think Konchesky has ever looked as though he cares. Worst still, making stupid challenges like he did against Norwich and getting sent off.

Stick Maloney at LB, at least he actually cares about the club (or at least his career).

I really cannot call how Forest will perform should we make the play-offs. I'm hoping we go to Palace and nick a victory - maybe a good performance from Findley who could be a massive play-off player for us.

I don't see us getting promoted anyway, particularly if QPR are docked points and end up in the play-offs.

Its funny how this situation has worked out.

Hodgson goes to Liverpool and fails badly
Dalgish comes in and completely turns around Liverpool and puts them in 5th (atm)
Hodgson goes to West Brom and turns them around and puts them comfortably mid table.

Job was too big for Hodgson. Didn't understand the expectations of a club our size and tried to instil his little league ambitions on us. He deflated the crowd, the players and the management and all Dalglish needed to do was restore some confidence and ambition.

Hodgson goes to West Brom and turns them around and puts them comfortably mid table.
Championship quality players playing open and attacking football against vastly superior players week in week out never works. Haven't watched them much but I'd imagine it was just a case of tightening them up and making them harder to beat which is what Hodgson's good at when managing at his level.
