***SPOILERS*** Football 7 May - 10 May 2011

Yet some posters on here would tell you Valencia is just taking a place away from Nani...

Well he managed one good cross today.

He also fluffed his lines when United were 3 on 2 and instead of passing it cut back and passed backwards, he failed to shoot when one on with the keeper in the first half, and the one shot he did have.............. he blazed over from 10 yards out.

Other than that he got the ball forward well, nothing came of it, but he got it forward well.

You dont know how well Nani would have done, stats would suggest he had a higher chance of directly contributing to a goal than Valencia, saying that, had Hernandez had a better day he would probably of buried the one cross Valencia managed to find a United player with.

Park on the other hand had an excellent game and looked a completely different player to the one that normally just runs around getting in the way.

The midfield in general was brilliant today, bundles of energy, exactly what we need against Barca, hopefully we can keep it up.

The top reasons why united apparently can not be "worthy champions" this season:

"united are crap", "nothing without ronaldo", "Rooney wants to leave", "one man team", "united have no money", "man city are the new force", "giggs/scholes too old", "united are in too much debt", "rio always injured" , "United are lucky."

So I guess we can say the above must all be wrong then lol

Congratulations to United but one more point still to get.

Was Anelka injured or banned or something? For what the best part of 3 seasons he's played plenty on the right, and while not great there has certainly been effective.

Meh, who cares, more pee'd about another terrible Arsenal result/performance and Wengers utter utter inability to change anything.

Again Bendtner came on, again he was one of our best players on the pitch and got involved, created chances and had a couple good shots, the one that produced a save also wasn't even close to a foul, just strong play, great control, turn and shoot and on target.

Theo, barely involved in the entire game, AGAIN.

Wenger, take off Ramsey and Arshavin, one of our best players all year who also put in several tackles and worked very hard and well covering left back in the first half, but leave on the utterly utterly hopeless Theo Walcott? Bring on Chamakh and Bendtner and put Bendtner in the worst place possible in by far his worst position and he was still better than all the other Arsenal players?

The beginning of last ruddy season is when I said RVP is utterly isolated in this formation and in particular these types of games, and for 4-5 games he's been playing in central midfield for half the damn game trying to create chances. Bendtner is a withdrawn striker, RVP is a withdrawn striker, Nasri/Arshavin/Rosicky can play as withdrawn strikers though they are more very high central midfielders yet we play a ridiculous 4-5-1 for no reason all the time.

We should be playing most games with Bendtner/RVP or one of those two with Vela/Eduardo infront of them, both quality, neither given any consistant games since they joined, hell even Theo as a striker infront of them. Theo has zero ability to take the ball from midfield to the box, or to do ANY defensive work at all.

Wenger starts the wrong team, has his "favoured" players, ignores quality squad players while also refusing to rotate his favoured players which almost always causes them to pick up injuries, can't make the right substitution to save his ruddy life, has no tactical awareness in the slightest, can't get the best out of his team, can't sort out the defence, can't sort out the medical team.

I get and will freely admit that Wenger in his first 6-7 years was truly brilliant at Arsenal, but what is it he's doing for the team today, or for the past 5 years.

Theo not being the first one off today is something I'd expect, essentially every other manager employed and unemployed to get right today.

For one thing Stoke are a physical team and he's the only player we have who will not under any circumstances fight for the ball......... he shouldn't have started or even been on the bench, he shouldn't play football.

He did fluff that 3 on 2 but other than that he was faultless. He also put in a defensive shift that Nani never would have.

A Rooney/Hernandez style partnership of van Persie/Walcott would work a treat, it's a shame Wenger can't see it because, as it is, Walcott is one of the worst wingers I've ever seen at a top 4 side (and I've seen Bebe play in the flesh).

My view on the arsenal vs stoke game.

Firt of all lets get the crowd chants out the way. People booing Ramsey are friggin idiots no two ways about it and i dont condome it. Fair enough Shawcross offerd his aplogy serveral times and ramsey never responded but to be quite frank hes entitled to tell Ryan to do one if he wants. The tackle was accidental so lets just get over it, most stoke fans are knuckle dragging tools though (espeicaly if you go to watch stoke away thousands of morons) sad but true.

Rugby chants were not becuase "we are proud of playing ugly" its a swipe at Wenger because he said we are a rugby team. Wenger deserves all the abuse he got as he has been a disgrace to SCFC and needs to keep his nose out.

The game was hilarious as Arsenal just kept on playing the same way. Stoke didnt press Arsenal into the final third and let arsenal just pass it around. Same tactics all game and it was easy for stoke as they couldnt brerak us down as RVP was the only player who could be arsed.

Wilshire has got a right nasty side to him but he is a talented player. Today stoke werent the team throwing elbows and kicking out. Stoke were the team who were trying to win the game and play the game right.

I put the defeat down squarely to Wenger. He put two big lads on at HT and never tried to get the ball to them! If plan A doesnt work keep doing plan A. Its just silly you have to mix it up.

Players like Walcott will never play well against stoke hes a waste of space. You needed to get support to RVP and thats Wengers fault.

In all honesty it was one of stokes easiest home games of the season.

Well you missed "giggs is crap" from a post above.

Hansen: 'If he (Fergie) was manager of any of the top 4 this season he would've won the league with them, he's that good'

Don't think Harry was too impressed with that comment considering he was sat next to him :D
