***SPOILERS*** Football 7 May - 10 May 2011

I put the defeat down squarely to Wenger. He put two big lads on at HT and never tried to get the ball to them! If plan A doesnt work keep doing plan A. Its just silly you have to mix it up.

Players like Walcott will never play well against stoke hes a waste of space. You needed to get support to RVP and thats Wengers fault.

In all honesty it was one of stokes easiest home games of the season.

I don't disagree that Wenger was totally wrong but I always have to point out, if a team is built for plan A, changing to plan B 99% of the time won't be better. Look at Real, plan A = all out attack, they tried plan B against Barca and even in the game they flukily won, they were truly rubbish, every step throughout all the el classico's playing to plan B cost them badly.

The trouble is, plan A at Arsenal right now is rubbish, its just working against crap teams or teams that have a bad day, but against any half decent team our current plan A is rubbish.

It mostly consists of we have Fabregas, no matter how rubbish we are he'll create 20 ridiculous passes no one else can do and even if everyone else is also having a rubbish game, someone will get one tap in off the chances he creates.

But you're right, Wenger makes these sweeping changes(rather than the right ones) and we don't try and play differently. But in the first half Arshavin was barely given the ball and second Bendtner was barely given it. If no one passed to Arshavin in the first half, why take Arshavin off, but Wenger does this all the time.

Front men get zero service and the wingers are doing nothing, change the front men rather than the wingers. Right wing doing nothing, sub the left winger, striker missing all his chances, change the winger, etc, etc.

First half, Theo wasn't involved in the slightest, Sagna/Gibbs weren't good/a help offensively. RVP dropped deep leaving even less options, Arshavin played very well defensively and got little of the ball going forwards, Ramsey kept misplacing stuff but also had few good forward passing options, Song just horrific as usual. The clear first choice was change Theo, the VERY VERY last option was change Arshavin, the next pretty obvious choice was Ramsey or Song for Bendtner and switch to a 4-4-2.

It really doesn't matter who is playing well or badly, Arshavin/bendtner are almost always subbed first, despite almost always playing and ALWAYS having a far worse performer on the pitch, you can't win games if you do that.

Sure very occasionally some team will try a hail mary, thats why its called that, they'll put on 4 strikers as they are losing and try to get a win, it works 1/20 times, maybe, sticking to your best method of playing football, and changing your team basically to remove the worst players on the pitch has worked, more times than I can count.

Wasn't a great game. Chelsea didn't turn up in the first half. If anyone wants to know why Ronney gave us the V's, it's because we were singing 'Rooney, you're a ****, Rooney Rooney, you're a ****' for about 25 mins....

People are going OTT about Valencia dominating Cole, he skipped by him once but didn't actually pass him, Cole actually made some great tackles against Valencia and stood up well without diving in.

Kalou = ****

Creative.

Wouldn't be suprised if Rooney was pulled up in the dock over it. It's the public's 'right' after all...

Looks like he got away with it and had the last laugh at you all though! :D :D

Ashley Cole was a joke, he got schooled by an ex-Wigan player ;)

Also delighted that Wolves won the derby, hopefully Mick's words beforehand about a victory meaning definite safety will come true. To be honest I doubted they had it in them to do it today after West Brom's form going into the match.

I bet Cheryl had a wry smirk as she saw dear Cashley getting ****ed by strangers instead of the reverse for a change.

Of course he was whipped, now if only Antonio could work on that cross accuracy and decision-making we'd have hammered Chelski numerically as well as on the pitch - the scoreline was far too flattering to the Blues today.

To be fair the amount of clear chances Chicharito, Rooney & Park missed all on their own far outweighs anything Valencia did wrong :)

Me too, I expected another gutsy Wolves performance that would inevitably end up with a loss.

As a Spurs fan I'm hoping Bale being out (not that I want him out of course) means Kranjcar can get a good run for the last 3 games of the season, starting tuesday against citeh.

Just not sure how well he will work with Rose at LB considering neither of them have been regulars in the side this season.

team preference from available squad:
Gomes
Kaboul Gallas Dawson Rose
Lennon Sandro Modric Kranjcar
VDV
Defoe

Will need a big performance from Sandro though I fear!

Cole made two successful tackles all game and lost 5.

He certainly didn't have a good time with Valencia. There's a reason that everything was going down that way, usually because Valencia was sat in space.

Well that was a bit gash.

I'm off to find that "why don't wolves fo out of prem already lol" post to cheer myself up.
