***SPOILERS*** Football 7 May - 10 May 2011

Can't make my mind up whether or not I want to miss out on the Europa league or whether it could be a good thing since they changed the set up a little. I mean it's not done Man City any harm obviously, but then they have got an amazing squad and vast amounts of cash.

I want Europe. If we want to be serious about competing for things and being contenders we cannot have the attitude that its one or the other. We must be able to compete simultaneously in Europe and the league if we want to be serious. Whether its the champions league or the Europa league , suggesting that we can only play properly in one and not the other is not the sort of message given out by teams with serious ambitions. If we have the belief that every time we are in Europe we can't make the top 4, that's just no good. I mean there's little point in trying to get into the top 4 if it means that we can't then make it into the top 4 the following year because of having to play in Europe too.

Not a popular opinion but it's one I've agreed with for nearly a season and a half. When Gerrard plays everything goes through him and if he's off form the team suffers. If he was fit I certainly wouldn't have him in the first team at the moment.

Against Man Utd we were rampant with Stevie, but agreed, doesn't deserve to shift anyone out of the team at the moment, no point trying to fix something that isn't broke.

Ofcourse we want european football, some decent teams in there, Porto would have done better than Schalke. Don't know why 'Arry says he doesn't want it, Spuds too big for it now or knows we have it wrapped up?

Suarez looks good, great energy and running, always keeps the CB's moving out of position and down the channels, then gives the midfielders a good opportunity to take advantage of the disorganisation

The only thing Dalglish need say at half time is Man City. 4th's out of our hands but we've got an ideal opportunity to improve our goal difference and get close to theirs in case they do slip up.

Suarez has been absolutely amazing since joining. Very few players in World football that can take on a man as easy as him and we're very lucky to have him in our team.

I was on the fence about Kevin Phillips as a pundit until tonight. He capped it off with:

"Mark Schwarzer had no chance... maybe could have done a bit better":mad:

edit: "Just look at Suarez's movement here, it's unbelievable". You what? There's no defenders within 10 yards of him, he could have jogged in a straight line and still been in.
