***SPOILERS*** Football 7 May - 10 May 2011

Dalglish has been in charge of us for 16 league games and we've scored in every single one of them managing a total of 35 goals only conceding 14

Other than the first 15 mins of the 2nd half, the passing, movement and tempo of our play was top class. Maxi's got another 3 goals today but Suarez was the motm; what a player this lad is :o

And only Chelsea have got more points (I believe only 2 more too) than us in that time too.

Very impressive from Liverpool tonight, our pass & movement is light years away from where we were under Woy. Don't get me wrong, he's a good technical manager but he seems to have the personality of a wet fish & I don't think any of our players took to him, hence the miserable performance.

Suarez looked a different class tonight & Maxi is finally showing what he's capable of too.

Brilliant match, Suarez definately one of the buys of the season, that Sidwell goal was pretty nice, Maxi is **** hot at the moment.

Agree. Coped with his defensive work very well and looked to get forward at every opportunity as did Johnson.

Everybody loves knocking him but he's been flawless since the King returned. Left or right back, he's been rock solid and as always he's a threat going forward.
Will Liverpool get 4th?

While it's possible that City could lose 1 and draw 1 from their games with Spurs and Bolton, I can't see them not winning against Stoke.

It's that time of year lads:

Just kidding, great performance from Liverpool tonight. Suarez is a **** but looking like an inspired purchase. Going to be a good league next year.

Good fighting passionate talk from stevie there at the end :p spoken like a true scouser

But realistically he and the rest of the management know we wont be challenging next season.

Champs league football and a cup win should be our target next year. If the team can carry on like they are now they should be able to manage one or the other. We are still far away from challenging - we had a great team when we came 2nd but we do not have the depth to challenge for the title.

As tough as it is for liverpool fans to admit, ferguson has built an absolute colossus at Man Utd and the rest of the premiership are a long way behind. However, i have full faith in Dalglish in developing a similar type of team spirit that ferguson has at united - it must be that scottish charm/wit but they both obviously seem to have the gift!

Gap clearly isn't that big if a Chelsea win last weekend would have put them top.

Maybe i exaggerated a bit but i think chelsea are going to wane, their team is getting older, and they are nowhere near what they were last season, when they were knocking 5 past everyone.

In fairness, that chart is quite true and i can easily see it happening again :D

I thought Liverpool were very good tonight.

Maxi! What do you Liverpool fans think of him? He's not impressed me really, looked very average and not Liverpool standard but he's scored and done well past few games hasn't he?

Chelsea have nothing other then a good first 11 and Torres.

Their goal difference is only 2 less than United's....and that's with trying to accommodate an incompetent Torres since January!

Maxi has always been a player that hasn't really done too much wrong, but then not too much right either, and not really having much influence on games. I would like him to stay purely for the fact he will score the odd goal (or 6!), but he is/was nothing more than a squad player. If he carries on like this then he may start games more often, but that can only be a good thing. I think Suarez is they key to be honest, he creates soo many chances and goals, which means the likes of maxi are getting on the scoresheet too. What will happen when suarez gets injured

Their youth players dont look too great, but they havent really been given a chance.

The likes of Lampard, Terry and anelka seem to be getting on a bit, and to be honest their squad needs a lot of freshening up IMO
