***Spoilers*** Silent Hill Movie ***Spoilers***

Def want to go see this one!!
The scenes in the game were spot on so hopefully the movie will be just as gripping - in theory they should be able to make it even better and more eerie!

Although need to find someone to watch it with as the gf doesnt like scary films bah!!

Tell her it's a romantic comedy where a couple meet in a deserted American town and take long walks around the rivers and parks....;)

Just saw it at lie-ses-ter square. Twas okay, but I hoped for more. Wasnt really scary at all but the generl atmosphere was quite freaky and unnerving. The best thing about it was the death scenes - some really horrific and detailed deaths in there! Quite disturbing. Sean Bean was underused unfortuantely. I also thought the ending didnt deliver in the way it could have. Shame really, but on the whole the film was alright.

Sean Beans accent?? What the hell was that about?

Irish, American, who knows?

Quite good otherwise

Terrible film. Starts out ok but it turns into such a boring film. Dull characters and a **** plot. I would say around half the people in the cinema walked out during some stage of the film.

i cant weight to see that film. it looks amazing. and it looks true to the game from bits that ive seen

Each to their own mate, I thought it was pretty damn good.

Where can I go where people walk out of cinema's as often as some people claim in these forums?
I've been going to the cinema for a fair few years now (what with me being the ripe old age of 30).
I've been to some great films but I've been to some dire/terrible/rubbish beyond belief films in my time too.

In all my years I'd say I've probably seen two, maybe three people leave a film before the end.
I keep reading where half the audience of a film have walked out - I'm obviously missing something.

It's the "over exaggeration" cinema. Unfortunately I don't have one near me, otherwise I'd go just to watch the masses of people leaving half way through the films they paid good money to watch. ;)

I really want to see this too but waiting to hear a few reviews first. :)

Paul went to see it last night with mates and they all loved it.

If you're free tonight we can shoot off and see it. Mail me.

Saw this last night. Not a bad film at all, fairly entertaining. The sound and atmosphere were superb as were the visuals. I think it might be based around Silent Hill 2. I say this because that's the only game I played, I also remember getting stuck on it and gave up, I think I remember it was in a hotel too.

****SPOILER****

Never having been into the games, I didn't really understand what some of the creatures were about, specifically the one with the triangle thing on its head and the ones that spit blue gunge at the copper and melt her helmet. I know both of these 'things' are in Silent Hill 2 but the film never really explained what they were.

Good 10 people walked out of silent hill at least. Saw 60% of the audience leave during Nightwatch.

I think the mistake people are making here is expecting a film where everything is explained to them, without playing or knowing about the games before they go in.

I've never played the games and it all made sense to me, unless I misinterpreted everything :D

....and coming back on topic.

****SPOILER ALERT AGAIN****

@ M0T. Since you understood everything I'll ask you. I understood the story without a problem but like I said, WTF were those things that fired blue gunge at the copper, they didn't come during the 'darkness', their part in the film seemed tacked on and pointless. Also the dude with the triangle thing on it's head (cool as **** btw) didn't get explained. What was his story? I know both of these 'things' were in Silent Hill 2 (game) but still don't know what they are, why they were there or anything.
