He's the executioner, appears rarely but always makes a huge impact when he does. Not much about this stuff is explained in the film because not much is explained in the games either.

This film is worth it just for the barbed wire massacre.

Can we have spoiler added to the title? It's pretty obvious that a Silent Hill movie thread will contain them but no doubt some people will complain if they accidentally discover a bit of the story.

Didnt think much of it myself, some nice effects and good sound but not much of a story to be honest. The beginning was abit quick also, diving straight into going to silent hill.

As said the barbed wire scene is quite good

Busty nurses with strange heads was abit wierd

Well I thought it was pretty damn good. Great effects and slightly too gory for me but enjoyed it nontheless.

I also thought it was good A Some nice camera work (or possibly cgi work) too.
Was quite impressed as I was trying to not have too big expectations of it.

Makes me want to play the game again too

Went to watch it with other half at Starcity(Bham) on Friday night.

Very good film. Ive only ever played the first Silent Hill game and that was on the PS1/PSX.

Had a feeling it was based on Silent Hill 2 due the presence of the woman in the film. Having not played Silent Hill 2 or any other Silent Hills beyond the first one I kind of went in blind, with only a small incling of what to expect.

Very satisfied with the movie. Was suprised at the level of gore in it for a movie rated at "15"

Am I right in assuming that they are dead or still living in the burnt girls hell/nightmare/parallel world?

I assumed they were dead, as the parallel world everyone is dead anyway (I think?). Not a very happy ending really!
