Spurs sack Poch

Isn't the trend with Mourinho in recent years, that his first season is OK, but then it goes to **** the very next year or the year after... Not sure why that's a desirable thing for any team.

Getting a top manager when they are available would be very un-United. We will sack ole and then look for whoever is about at that time.
 
This Mourinho link can't be serious, can it? I can understand it from his point of view because he's not getting a better offer but from Spurs/Levy's? Castles vs Levy in 18 months time should be fun at least.
 
I cant understand the possible appointment of Mourinho. He has always wanted stacks of money to spend at his clubs and Spurs dont have that money to give him and even if they do find that money they could have given it to Pochettino to strengthen in the way he wanted.

If Mourinho ends up as Spurs manager I can see Jose getting disillusioned pretty quickly and then he'd be off out the door too and Spurs would be back at square one again. Time may prove me wrong but I think that Spurs and Mourinho is a bad match.

I think this could be even more intriguing than when he was Utd manager. At least you could see the pattern of spend loads, have modest short term success before the inevitable. I suppose the only saving grace for Mourinho is he has little to lose now - he's not getting any other big job and Spurs are rock bottom right now.

It's at times like this I really miss cm!
 
Not really shocked by Poch going, think it was a matter of time.

Now Emery at Arsenal will be interesting, granted we aren’t in the same position as Spurs but I wouldn’t be surprised if we do find ourselves in that position soon. Especially with the way we have been playing.
Wouldn’t mind seeing Poch at Arsenal though, not that it will happen as Arsenal will stick with Emery and Poch will be looking at a bigger job ahead ie Real or Utd.
 
I saw rumours of this on twitter last week but thought it was complete rubbish, if Mourinho is taking over then all I can do is laugh at Spurs. If they've got someone better lined up then fair play to them, but I'm not sure how they're topping Poch given who's available (allegri maybe?).
 
25 points from 24 games. Poch had to go, his time was up, and clearly a lot of Spurs players want out of the club / not happy. Poch is decent, but rather overrated.

Exactly this. I had a discussion with someone who claimed he hasnt spent any money....they spent over 100 mil last summer alone.
