Sri Lanka massacres

Why do people think (hope?) that some sort of Muslims vs the world conflict is coming?

I'd be much more concerned about China and Russia, especially once resources start dwindling.

You might be, but there are many of us who accept that a Jihad is occurring, from the atrocities that are nearly a daily event across the globe, and view a Chinaman or a Russian with a backpack with far less foreboding than an Asian. Denial and pussyfooting around the issue will be the West's downfall, the nettle needs grasping, we need to up our game. Merkel's madness has already made this many fold more difficult. Most of the world's major conflicts were started and enacted by the few, ignored or excused until the issue was beyond appeasement or entreaty. I could also suggest why the West's resources might dwindle, given Africa is emptying itself across the Mediterranean under the guise of "refugees".

Is it because the former was cut and dry from the beginning (literally had a manifesto and everything)? Whereas this took a few days to unravel.

She’s probably still in the wrong, but don’t rearrange the furniture for your amusement, just because a politician didn’t want to ride a bigoted bandwagon before the facts were clear.

Coming? Its been well under way for decades, theres at least one conflict going on within Islam itself.

What countries havent suffered at the hands on these people? Japan?, I sometimes wonder if people like you are living under a rock, or maybe youre just ignorant to the violence committed in islams name on a weekly basis.

Attacks like the one in Sri Lanka are attacks on civilisation itself, they affect thousands of people around the globe from dozens of countries and you dont think theres a conlfict with some muslims? Its barbarism vs civilisation.

Good point, I am a Christian and do actually find this ridiculous new term 'Easter Worshipper' quite offensive.

I'm a Christian, and I find it a poor choice in the context, but it's a longstanding term that's been used plenty of other times by the regular media, and is also used by Christians.

The term 'Easter worship' is practically universal throughout churches worldwide.

I saw this mentioned on one of the news sites:

One of the Sri Lanka bombers studied in the UK and Australia before carrying out the bombings, which may have been funded and inspired by Isis, the defence minister has said.

“We believe that one of the suicide bombers studied in the UK and later did his postgraduate [studies] in Australia before coming back and settling in Sri Lanka,” said Ruwan Wijewardene, the state minister for defence, at a media briefing on Wednesday afternoon.

Wijewardene confirmed that many of the bombers had international connections, having lived or studied abroad.

“This group of suicide bombers, most of them are well-educated and come from middle or upper-middle class, so they are financially quite independent and their families are quite stable financially, that is a worrying factor in this,” he said. “Some of them have I think studied in various other countries, they hold degrees, LLMs [law degrees], they’re quite well-educated people.”

I do wonder whether they got radicalised abroad?

Well that was a waste of money. All that education and blown away.

I do not think that worrying about where he was radicalised, other than leading to someone else we can lock away, is a big deal and is not something to stress about. They appear to be everywhere like cockroaches.

Absolutely 100% this.

And yet since it was revealed who the attackers were she still hasn't piped up!

Wow, that video of the bomber walking into the church with the backpack (on the BBC ‘studied in the UK’ article) is ****ing ice cold. Just, wtf. How can anyone do that.
