Stalker 2

Mine didn't crash, just left it to do it's thing, came back 30 mins later and hung at 30%ish. Got 13 hours playtime apparently, just 10 of those are it being crashed in the background while I'm doing something else

After about 2 hrs of play last night I was at the island place where the noon are and for the first time experience severe slow down, like 2-4 fps. I noted that the VRAM was max-ed out at 12G on my 4070. So looks like I experience some sort of vram leak.

I'm a little surprised to read this, as I wasn't aware it would manage to saturate a 12 GB graphics card.
I'm using an 8 GB one, so I see this often happen in the game. Sometimes, I can play for hours with no problem, whereas in other instances I need to tweak settings fairly regularly.

In case anyone was/is having trouble killing Faust:
Shoot the psi machines/devices in the combat arena. I think there's three of them.
Then, and this is the bit that I didn't notice, to defeat him, you need to shoot the psi device on Faust's hip.

Stalker 2 is included as one of the launch day games to feature the DLSS4 upgrades. I'm not going to play any further now as want to play with those upgrades going forwards. Roll on end of the month I guess.

It's a glorious time to be a #RTX gamer!

Poor mrk. Will be locked out from beta testing and missing out on this new toy. Poor thing.

Are you going 5000 series?

I want it obviously but my pc still feels really capable. The 5800x3d is no slouch and the 4080 is still a solid card.

I will likely grab a 5070Ti at some point if it is under £750.

Way i see that one is, it will definitely be a better card than a 4080 in every aspect, have all latest tech, shiny new card with 3 years warranty and all for less than what a 4080 costs.

He's getting the 5070, a card that is as fast as a 4090

5070Ti you joker. At least I will be able to use MFG. You will be stuck on your old crusty 4090 (for a short while before you give in)

Let's see how the RT performance turns out. I would laugh my arse off if RT is a lot faster on these cards to the point the 5070Ti RT is better than a 4090

Low baseline path tracing with that :o :p

You was super excited about it. Don't make me go quote you!
Super excited about DLSS4 yes, not MFG, I don't really care for MFG lol as noted, I lock all games up to 120fps. DLSS4 is coming to all RTX cards so will see an fps boost and quality boost.
