Stalker 2

That's crazy money for what you get
Couldnt imagine myself walking around with that backpack and the stalker 2 logo (pack itself doesn't look great), statue looks bad to me too, lantern thing looks 3d printed. Rest of it looks like tat. Honestly I would just buy the game off cd keys and a 3d printer separately.

I really wanted the ultimate physical edition of the game with the backpack, lamp and figurine. It sold out and they're doing one final run of it now, so it's still available, but it's like £430 including shipping, which is absolutely astronomical and ridiculous for a limited edition of a video game. You can basically buy a console for that. I might just buy the ultimate edition of the game on CDKeys, and see if there are any cheaper ultimate physical editions going on eBay in the new year.

Edit: I've just pre-ordered the ultimate edition on CDKeys, any idea if we get the early bird pre-order bonuses with this version as well? This is the stuff you get (on the Steam listing):
  • Extended Campfire Content: more guitar tunes and tales that you can hear in the game around the stalkers' campfires
  • 'Early Bird' Weapon Skin
  • 'Early Bird' Costume Skin
  • 'Early Bird' Multiplayer Badge
  • Steam Pack: Animated Avatar, Animated Avatar Frame & Animated Profile Background

Ultimate edition looks just as pointless to me, the tunes will probably be unlocked by mods, same with skins. I don't know what the mp is or will be like so maybe it's worth getting for that, I don't know. The steam stuff can be bought with steam points but realistically most people won't use it. I could see the point if the devs were getting the profits from the extra cost of the ultimate edition and you wanted to "give back" but I don't think that happens with cd keys (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

None of the physical editions are worth buying in terms of content vs cost :( Still, if people are happy to buy them then it's good for GSC & hopefully they'll be able to keep supporting the ongoing development of the game.

I'll stick to my cheap pre-ordered standard version from CD Keys, picked it up a few months ago when it was around £25. None of the other versions are worth the money!

I didn't preorder this one even when it was down too £25 because this was one game which I thought had a high chance of further postponements so held off.

That money would have done what else though? Earned you £1.50 interest or something? :p
